I'm finding out this isn't just an ignorant Youtube comment bait thing either (This is a Bsky post I just saw while scrolling through Groove posts), just people who have genuinely never heard of TTS and would rather jump to conclusions rather than do a two second Google search.

"I LOVE that Rhythm Heaven Groove has a screen reader but the voice is so ear-gratingly obnoxious that I genuinely can't stand it. You can turn it off but not for everything.

And it says the screen reader may make mistakes which makes me think it might be gen AI.

I get it's mainly a USA thing, but it still doesn't hurt to take time and educate yourself. The first few sentences from the Wikipedia article tells you what it is.

Albeit the reason isn't stated and this whole thing actually dates back to March (So it's safe to assume it's not related to like, Star Fox or whatever). I still believe my point stands though!!

"A man has been arrested in Japan for threats made against Nintendo as he vowed to blow up the company’s headquarters, alleging that his “plans cannot be thwarted.”

A 27-year-old Japanese man was arrested for sending threatening letters to Nintendo saying that he was going to “blow you all up,” while also claiming that he had planted multiple bombs in and around Nintendo’s offices. Thankfully no one was harmed, and when police searched the area they didn’t find anything of concern.

While this news is just coming to light, Nintendo actually reported it to the police on March 16th, so we’re almost 2 months removed from the event. Since the event the man was arrested and admitted to the charges, but the motive is unknown at this time."
