trans men absolutely do face transphobia. this is not something i have ever argued against. while i no longer identify w the transmasc label i WAS transmasc for several years and faced significant transphobia. to say im denying this by saying i dont believe in transAndrophobia, which is an entirely different term w different context and meaning, is saying i am denying my own experiences. and saying i have No right to speak in this conversation is genuinely just an excuse to ignore what im saying

transandrophobia as a concept is based in no real understanding of the systems in place and intersectionality. transmisogyny as a term exists to describe oppressive power structures that ONLY affect transfems, such as bills barring specifically Only trans women from playing sports. the combination of two axis of oppression creates a unique experience that, while still of course influenced by both parts, experiences things that someone who is only One of those things does not. there is no structural equivalent that only affects transmascs that does not either affect anyone coercively assigned female, or anyone who is trans in general. this is Why transandrophobia and related terms don't work- theyre trying to describe an exclusivity that isnt there, because thats not how intersectionality works

trying to argue that transandrophobia detractors- who are often trans women, notably- are denying trans men's experiences, and that they hate trans men, and that they are somehow being transphobic, is Just a thinly veiled attempt to discard any criticism behind this term and often further ostracize the trans women who say these things. it is not and never has been a coincidence that the people who get the most backlash for saying anything negative about this are trans women. even as someone who Has gotten a lot of backlash despite not being a trans woman myself, the reactions ive seen my friends get for even suggesting discomfort with the concept of transandrophobia has been worse tenfold

the fact you can argue this at all and treat trans women like this and get away with it is exactly the privilege that disproves transandrophobia. if a trans woman did any of this to you, youd kill her and youd get away with it too

watering this down to "discourse" or "oppression olympics" or acting like this is some terminally online shit with no basis in reality is Also that same privilege. the ability to ignore it and look away from it stems from the exact same shit

twisting the word "terf"- originally twerf, which means trans Woman exclusionary radical feminist- away from its actual meaning just to throw it at trans women who dont agree with the idea that men ever experience male-specific oppression is, AGAIN, that same privilege. you are taking words that describe things specifically targetting trans women and weaponizing it against them. the fact you cant see how many twerfs are allying themselves with the transandrophobia movement is proof enough you have no idea what you're talking about
