What does #340B mean? It means being there for all patients, producing better outcomes and delivering a bigger impact for taxpayers. The 340B Program enables safety-net hospitals and clinics, like Callen-Lorde, to reduce drug costs for patients and reinvest in care, at NO COST to taxpayers.

But that means that now is the time to make a plan to prevent mpox! If you haven’t gotten your 2‑dose mpox vaccine series, now’s a great time to check in with your provider. That 2‑dose regimen gives you solid protection, and at this moment no booster is recommended—just the standard series.

Recently, New York City reported one case of Clade I mpox—a version that can be more serious. The important thing to know: this was a travel‑related case. There’s no sign of local spread in NYC right now, and the overall risk for people here remains low.

You may have heard people saying ‘mpox is back,’ so let’s talk about what’s really going on. Starting in 2022, the U.S. and NYC experienced a large outbreak that affected the community we serve at Callen-Lorde. With the help of our community, the outbreak was brought under control.
