Christ on a bike, gaming hardware is so screwed up at the moment. How can platform holders and publishers expect any sort of growth.

Verifying I'm human by clicking on Gen AI images of animals. We truly are in a cursed timeline.

An image captacha exclusively using generative AI images of cats, dogs, ducks, hedgehogs and squirrels.

Man, Final Crisis is just as weird and great as I remember it! Every crazy idea is thrown at you and treated with upmost seriousness. (In a good way)

I will forever be here for Grant Morrison’s not so subtle ribbing of Alan Moore.

Part of a panel from the comic Final Crisis showing the back of a man wearing a shirt featuring the famous cover for The Killing Joke while a tall man shouts, “STOP! You must be supercool to proceed! Your life depends on it!”

As a Hank Henshaw lover, I’m so glad they’re doing a loose adaptation of Reign of the Supermen for My Adventures With Superman season 3! Loves me a murder robot man who can never die!

A comic book panel of Cyborg Superman introducing himself to the people of Metropolis during the now classic Reign of the Supermen storyline.

Making a start on this gem of an omnibus. I’m a big fan of Final Crisis so getting to read the lead-in and all the tie-ins in one very hefty tome is great!

One very heavy copy of the DC Comics Final Crisis Omnibus with an image of Darkseid on the cover

My current progress through the hefty tome. A few chapters in, barely scratching the surface of Final Crisis.

We’ve started a monthly narrative games club within our team and our first game was Immortality. Which allowed me to bang on about symbols and evolving imagery for far too long.

Apologies, I always forget. Here ya go:

A collection of Batman: Gotham City Chronicles the board games featuring the boxes and mini expansions for Seasons 1-3.

Each box is plastered with Batman related imagery. Heroes, villains, Wayne Manor, Arkham Asylum and even the Batmobile!

The Tetris movie is an odd one. The embellishments it makes to the IRL events diminish and trivialise what happened to get Tetris on the Gameboy. Still it was a fun watch. However, if you want a more accurate version of events, Box Brown’s graphic novel is a must read

Absolute Wonder Woman is a once in a generation comic book. There’s so much thought and passion being shown on every page. It also has a compelling character driven story and a bubbling sapphic romance that will only end in tragedy. It has everything!!!

Inspired by Mikayla J. Laid on YouTube, I’ve started a comics journal to document my thoughts on the individual issues and trades I read. It adds to the reading process but I’m enjoying it so far. Err….good luck reading my handwriting….

Very strong, “I’m dumb enough to use Gen AI to write for me so therefore everyone else does” energy. Why create meaningful work when we can just spew out endless trash?!

Screen grab of a Guardian opinion peace by a silly man with a silly notion that AI is essential to writing. Published a day too late for April Fools.

I finished The Game Changers by Tim Clare this morning. A delightful read about the power of games throughout history. The key thing Clare highlights throughout the book is that creating and playing games is human nature. An inherently rewarding activity that is good for mind and body.
