Watched the first four episodes of Spider-Noir. And … I really enjoyed it. Cage completely nailed the Sam Spade vibe, the B&W camera work completely captures the noir look, and the supporting cast really seems to understand the assignment. Fun show.

For several years, it has been cheaper to build new solar and wind capacity than just to maintain a coal plant — even if the coal was free. But gas plants were twice as efficient and much cheaper to operate. Now solar and wind, complete with battery storage, are cheaper than gas.

My regular reminder that the reason there will not be an increase in coal production is because there is no market for it. Natural gas plants are cheaper and twice as efficient. Wind and solar are cheaper than both. I worked in the coal industry for 31 years. It is dying and it will keep dying.
