Do you love skunks as much as we do? Skunks are peaceful, shy animals that would much rather avoid you than confront you. That famous spray? It’s a last line of defence. Give a skunk space & it'll be on its way. Skunks are natural pest controllers, eating wasps, beetles, grubs, mice & garden pests!

🐭It attracts unwanted visitors. Leftover food can draw in everything from rodents, skunks, coyotes & bears. The best way to help wildlife is to let them stay wild. ✅ Secure garbage and compost. ✅ Bring pet food indoors. When we choose not to feed wildlife, we help keep them healthy, wild & safe! 💚

🚗It puts wildlife at risk. Animals that lose their fear of people are more likely to be hit by vehicles and to cause conflicts with humans or pets. 🦆It spreads disease. Feeding brings animals together, making it easier for illnesses and parasites to spread.

A human-fed wild animal is not a healthy wild animal. Feeding wildlife may seem like a kind gesture, but it can do much more harm than good. Human food isn't healthy for wildlife. Foods commonly fed to ducks and geese, like bread & crackers don't provide the nutrition wild animals need.

We’re at capacity for skunks Pls avoid live trapping adult skunks during baby season (May-Aug). If you find kits alone, leave them—mom is likely foraging. Pro tip: Skunks have poor eyesight so can spray if startled- don't leave pets alone at night & make noise in areas with 🦨
