Suburban Montreal has always been as NIMBY as the rest of them, sadly.

I think it's a byproduct of what NIMBYism represents: a fear of the unknown, a fear of the Other, an expectation that status quo preservation is priority no. 1. This latest craziness out of West Montreal kinda captures it for me. bsky.app/profile/ohth...

Don't really pay attention to gas prices for obv reasons, but tanking up 4 days ago at $1.37 (after the 13 cent prov tax cut) and seeing $1.73 yesterday at Macleod and 12 is genuinely insane. I guess Dani was hoping to get a little more mileage out of that tax cut announcement, but that's moot...

If you’re like me you gun it down 10 St and then screech on to the South Bow MUP. I missed the part of the detour signage that had that C Train ped bridge open to connect the north and south.

Cowards. Senior business leaders in Calgary are cowards notwithstanding the handful who signed the Calgary Chamber letter. Yes, they flag wave & stand up for Canada on Q10. None of them will say anything about the other 9 questions which also massively impact their employees & business. Weak AF.
