Cale @calewerks.com · 30/09/2026Is the consideration just getting the possibility of Wheeler twice in the NLDS? Seems like if he's able and willing to go on short rest, why not start him tomorrow and then he'd be on normal rest for the next game 3, which could be another elimination game, instead of having him NLDS 1 and 4/5? 110
Cale @calewerks.com · 27/09/2026Is it still just YouTube TV and Xfinity that get the Peacock/NBCSN simulcasts integrated? 100

Cale @calewerks.com · 20/08/2026I'm still annoyed by the Wells trade. I was hoping they'd try to thread the needle after Ward and Adley and improve the pen and maybe OF. Although Franklin is fun. 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 03/08/2026I'm praying there's more to come. Having Basallo locked up made this possible. They still have enough prospects to replace Ward and fix the bullpen and stay in the hunt. But without those moves they're just struggling along with no clear direction. 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 03/08/2026Do you think rebuild was the obvious answer or is still the plan? Genuinely, it seemed to me like "threading the needle" was the thing to try for this year. I realize there's more time to find Ward's replacement and pitching, but apart from Detmers it seems like those markets are relatively bare. 010
Cale @calewerks.com · 03/08/2026I will wait to see the return and for the grief to pass to draw conclusions. But there will be grief. 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 01/08/2026It's gotta be for an actual major league contributor if it happens, right? Like, if it's for prospects they might as well go full rebuild. 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 01/08/2026What's he supposed to say? If it's "Adley's off the table," and then a team makes a stupid offer, you piss off some of the fan base and probably a portion of the clubhouse by lying. If it's "we're trading Adley", you undercut his market and piss everyone off ahead of time. 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 30/07/2026What are the odds that Ward plays for both teams in this next series? 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 30/07/2026I feel like most AL teams are in that mixed scenario, which makes everything harder to predict. Our expirings are in positions of need. Are we going to move Ward or Rogers without having the subsequent moves lined up to replace or upgrade in those spots? 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 09/07/2026What do you think extension odds are? And how much relies on the changeup? I don't want to just lump him into the lefty with a changeup bucket, but that does feel like the group that over performed last year. 100
Cale @calewerks.com · 09/07/2026I've seen others speculate that the FanDuel host used his Cameo. But the fact that he knew it was from "Bryttani from FanDuel" should have set off something in his head. Even if it was just to refer it to Boras. 110
Cale @calewerks.com · 06/07/2026I just don't think that's fair for the players at the highest point of their careers. They could get hurt before the next cycle, etc. Nothing's guaranteed in 4 years. It sucks and it's totally fair to be pissed at Trump and FIFA. I am. But I don't think anything should be directed at the team. 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 06/07/2026VAR didn't follow FIFA'S guidelines in the game. It wouldn't have erred if the ref made the call first. It's tainted for the US no matter what because of Trump. It was tainted for Portugal when FIFA allowed Ronaldo to play. None of that means the teams should take a moral stand when they had no role 100
Cale @calewerks.com · 06/07/2026TBF, Buxton didn't mention F1 at all. And he is the IndyCar pbp so that should probably be the first assumption from his. 050
Cale @calewerks.com · 06/07/2026Show me where anyone on the field asked for or joined the call. They're at the highest moment of their life and career, man, come the fuck on. They shouldn't get punished because fuck face got involved. 200

Cale @calewerks.com · 06/07/2026Nah. It's likely the pinnacle of his career. Injuries, team form, individual form. Nothing is guaranteed in 4 years. He had no role in this mess so don't punish him to take some moral stand that FIFA don't care about. 010
Cale @calewerks.com · 06/07/2026The discussion on price should mention the advantages of its integrated battery, like the ability to charge and thus draw power during off-peak hours, and the ability to provide backup power elsewhere. It's a cool platform that will be more feasible for some than standalone battery backups. 000

Cale @calewerks.com · 29/06/2026Yeah, point taken on age. I was just thinking plus glove, and someone who still makes good swing decisions with this little offensive resurgence. Along with not knowing what Westburg looks like in the field after the injury. 100
Cale @calewerks.com · 29/06/2026What are the odds they'd eat a less than stellar contract as a way to lessen the prospect cost? Before Blaze's emergence I was curious how Matt Chapman might fit. 110
Cale @calewerks.com · 25/06/2026It's not much better on the PC side right now. Memory and storage prices have been absurd because of AI and commercial buyers. This has been the reality of consumer computing, and we're now seeing the first bit of pre-built inventory that's been made with higher component costs hit the shelves. 100
Cale @calewerks.com · 24/06/2026How much of a feedback loop do you think there is? Do LLMs prioritize certain types of content (tech-bro prose) in their training, and then does the way people write on social media end up shifting towards a homogeneous style that's just based on all the content we see? 120
Cale @calewerks.com · 24/06/2026The ones in your article have to do with taking 3rd place teams and the draw. No game is worth more at the start, it changes based on results. Turkey should not advance over Australia or Paraguay. It is not fair to them to depend on how the US performs, even if it were the A-team playing for 1st. 110
Cale @calewerks.com · 24/06/2026Was this at the half as well? I wonder if FOX has the production crew that's familiar enough with soccer to even throw a package like that together for the half. I assume the analysts at the desk are telling them what they're seeing and what they want, but that's a good team effort. 030
Cale @calewerks.com · 24/06/2026Wasn't a claim. Just saying it could be a good move even if it wasn't forced. We won't actually know w/o a survey or something. But I wouldn't assume that entertainment would beat competitive fairness. There's no rules changed when a league is clinched early. Even NASCAR scrapped its playoff format 110
Cale @calewerks.com · 24/06/2026So the way of looking at it is "Why improve anything unless we're forced to?" If a majority of fans prefer this system, then it was an improvement. Who cares if there are bigger issues? They shouldn't prevent us from improving the low hanging fruit. 110
Cale @calewerks.com · 24/06/2026Just continuously calling something needless doesn't make it true. Especially while ignoring the people telling you they find this more fair competitively. If that's the tournament's priority over entertainment value, then it isn't needless. 140

Cale @calewerks.com · 10/06/2026While not home for all 3, most apps use the international formatting for soccer scores and results with the home team up top. So I believe we are opening as the hosts. As are Mexico and Canada. 030
Cale @calewerks.com · 09/06/2026I think selling their advertisers and getting cross promotion of other content on his YouTube channel must be working. Unless that's changing with this extension. But it's averaging another 200k there with clips that accumulate around 40-70k with a different audience that isn't paying for ESPN. 010
Cale @calewerks.com · 08/06/2026Why do we need to do the snarky, personal stuff? O'Neill's shown no indication of lack of effort or not caring. Talk about the performance and what the O's should do with the contract, but we can be above this. 000
Cale @calewerks.com · 15/05/2026But I see the "they should just get the surgery over with" sentiment a lot. Even if the player is on board initially, a doctor is primarily looking at health risk instead of return time and as the injections are a relatively low risk thing to try, they're usually going to start there. 030
Cale @calewerks.com · 15/05/2026My bad on initial tone. The player decides, but y'all are right it's usually collaborative. I believe there's avenues for the team to file a grievance and look to void contract portions if the player isn't following sound advice. But the player also has the right to get an independent 2nd opinion. 140
Cale @calewerks.com · 15/05/2026It's up to the doctor, player, family and agent as much as, if not more than, it is the team. The team can't force a player to get a surgery or force a doctor to perform one when they think there's a chance to recover without. 220
