Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 1hI'm neurodivergent and until I moved in with my partner I hadn't realised how autism related my eating habits were, most of the things I used to regularly eat are no longer affordable other than as a treat so I go days without eating much but I also feel wrong for not just getting on with it. 000

Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 1hIt's about time we abolished these fuckers into irrelevance. Andrew should be in jail or at least singing like a canary, but what is even more mental is that the literal king of England was bessie mates with arguably the most notorious offender of the 20th century. The whole monarchy is rotten. 040

Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 1hThis is great because DRM free is how it should be, a purchase should always mean ownership but I actually found these really hard to get into, I'm more of an ARPG fan so to me they feel slow, the pace of game just isn't totally my bag, however when they go on a sale I'll probably try again 000
Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 1hIt didn't come with Linux, however I wish they'd sell some machine where that is an option, I think it would help drive adoption amongst the normies. 020
Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 1hI actually bought my current MSI gaming laptop from Currys, which I know is not recommended but I had done my research and the spec was good for the price and I'm impatient and wanted it in my hands and not waiting weeks for delivery from Dell or someone. 100
Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 1hHmm, used I'd say eBay, purchased used machines on there many times and am very comfortable with the platform. FB Marketplace I would do but only face to face but I'd not be willing to pay as much as I would on eBay simply because the buyer protection isn't there so it's a gamble. 010
Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 1hChoice paralysis is the biggest one, I don't want to get into distro hopping for years on end, game compatibility used to be a concern as my primary use case for my machine is gaming however that seems basically solved. I don't use any proprietary business software or anything. 010
Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 6hShit like this is why I tell anybody that will listen don't buy consoles get a PC, because if it isn't available on PC yet it soon will be. The best platform for gaming of all time, hands down, twice on Sundays, does it all. 000
Cal @cal161.bsky.social · 6hMicroshit are a terrible company, I know this, I'm also not new to Linux and have used multiple distros previously, yet for some fecking reason I cannot bring myself to ditch Windows on my primary machine and I cannot for the life of me tell you precisely why that is... Anybody else? #pcgaming 110
