If your favorite parts of Game of Thrones were Arya/the Hound, Brienne/Jamie, Ygritte/Jon Snow...and pictures of those duos.

...tromping around together, bickering, occasionally getting forced into badass fights with strangers...wondering if they'll ever admit what the rest of us can see...

you will LOVE Shield Sworn. Cover of Shield Sworn by Cait Monroe. Arrows point to tropes: forced journey, slow burn, enemies to ???, found family, swords & shields & axes oh my!, grounded fantasy adventure, um, the captor/captive relationship here is not so clear

SHIELD SWORN releases October 20. Join my ARC team. It says link in bio, but the request form is also here: https://forms.gle/gpumKiRpeDDkG8Ue8

ARCs! ARCs! ARCs! Come join my ARC team! A historical fantasy adventure that pits love against honor, loyalty against freedom, and confronts the cost of being on the winning side. ARC Reader request form here: forms.gle/GFmk32ozgbhC... #booksky #indieauthor #smallpress #bookrecommendation #fantasy

The cover of Shield Sworn by Cait Monroe on top of a picture of a rocky coastline with waves. On the cover, a Viking shield with an ax behind it and a Roman gladius crossed in front. Vines and moss are overtaking things.

A checklist of tropes on top of a picture of a rocky coast with waves: slow burn, enemies to ..., forced proximity, character-driven, adventure, historically-inspired, morally-grey heroes
