This is pretty much how the marathon went for me. It was hard and the heat sucked but I ran joyfully (mostly) and finished uninjured! In cooler conditions, I think I would have hit my goal. C'est la vie!

My vacation anti-rain witchcraft (bringing a rain jacket, a poncho, and an umbrella) worked and for my first day back in Chicago--all rain! I found myself talking a lot about the TARP project on vacation. As climate change is starting to really affect every area, I'm grateful Chicago has TARP.
