CAIR-Philadelphia Condemns Neo-Nazi, Racist Vandalism Targeting Roxborough High School pa.cair.com/pressrelease...
CAIR-Philadelphia today condemned racist, neo-Nazi and antisemitic graffiti spray-painted on Roxborough High School on Saturday night.

“Acts of hate like this are meant to intimidate and divide, but they ultimately strengthen our resolve to stand together against bigotry,” said CAIR-Philadelphia Executive Director Ahmet Tekelioglu. “Racist, antisemitic and neo-Nazi vandalism has no place in our schools or our city, and it must be confronted swiftly and unequivocally by community leaders and law enforcement authorities.”

Tekelioglu called on local officials to conduct a thorough investigation and ensure accountability, while also investing in education and community-based efforts to prevent hate crimes.

He said CAIR and the American Muslim community stand in solidarity with all those challenging antisemitism, systemic anti-Black racism, xenophobia, anti-Muslim hate, white supremacy, and all other forms of bigotry.

Summer Lee as co-sponsors of H.R. 3565, also known as the Block the Bombs Act. This resolution is the first-ever House legislation aimed at blocking the selling, transferring, or exporting of U.S. weapons to arm Israel's ongoing genocide, ethnic cleansing, and forced starvation of Palestinians in Gaza.

They are among the growing number of House Democrats who have signed on to the resolution since June 2025.

Are you ready to join us to engage these Senators as well as your Representatives in PA and DE? 3 out of 4 of Our Senators in PA and DE Voted to Enable GenocideIt is almost August, and it is time to engage our congressmembers in Pennsylvania and Delaware. Yesterday, 27 Senators, including Delaware’s Lisa Blunt Rochester, voted to block arms shipments to the Israeli government – a historic sign of progress.

This vote was the first time a majority of the Senate Democratic Caucus supported stopping offensive arms transfers to Israel, signaling a major shift in congressional sentiment that mirrors the will of the American public.

On the flip side, 68 senators, including Pennsylvania Senators John Fetterman and Dave McCormick, and Delaware Senator Chris Coons, voted to continue sending bombs and rifles to fuel genocide, ethnic cleansing, and mass starvation in Gaza and the West Bank.

CAIR’s 2025 August Recess Toolkit (pa.cair.com/recess-toolkit) identifies a number of key legislative concerns from protecting free speech to blocking U.S. weapons transfers to Israel as top policy priorities. In our meetings, we will be also able to discuss other concerns.

In This Moment, Our Commitment to Justice Must Remain Unshaken: pa.cair.com/blog/unshake...
In This Moment, Our Commitment to Justice Must Remain Unshaken

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Salam Alaykum,

The news of the recent violent attack targeting Israeli embassy staff in Washington, D.C. was deeply troubling. At a time when our hearts are already heavy with grief over the ongoing devastation in Gaza, this act brought with it a renewed sorrow — and concern. Resorting to violence threatens the moral clarity that grounds our movement and endangers the progress we’ve made through peaceful, principled resistance.

Let us be clear: this act does not represent our values.

Here in Pennsylvania and Delaware, across the nation, and around the world, millions have raised their voices, marched in the streets, and taken courageous, nonviolent action to demand an end to occupation and injustice. We are people of faith and conscience. We are led by love — for our Creator, for the Prophet, for life, for justice, and for one another. We know that bad-faith voices will try to weaponize this moment — to discredit our advocacy, criminalize our communities, and shift attention away from the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza. We must not allow them to succeed.

This is a moment of profound pain, but also one of unprecedented solidarity. The movement for Palestinian freedom has never been stronger or more united. Our work is difficult, but it is righteous. We reject political violence and remain steadfast in our belief that justice can and must be pursued through peaceful means.

We will not be deterred. We will continue to organize, educate, and advocate — with discipline, compassion, and unwavering resolve.

In solidarity and service,

Ahmet Selim Tekelioglu, PhD, CAIR-Philadelphia Executive Director
