Definitely needs something!! Even if they reformat the Armadyl/Bandos world event into a mini quest it could change the world map for players upon completion. Wouldn't be the first time a quest changes the overworld, and result in less players stumbling on the corpse of a God mid Goblin Diplomacy 😆

If they ever do restructure quests it would help contextualise those events to people who weren't around for it. Would also show the current team actually care about the 6th Age Storyline/quest direction post world wakes. I will never not be salty about the decisions made in Twilight of the Gods.

Doubt it'll ever happen but kinda wish Jagex would take the time to reformat old world events into RS3. Make them more quest-like, solo accessible and playable again, so new players don't just pass the likes of Missing Presumed Death and be like "wait, when tf did Bandos die?"

Holiday is over, wanna go back fr Norway is beautiful 10/10. Went on a cruise for the first time with my girlfriend to check out some of the smaller towns and the Fjords. Absolutely mesmerising. Also all the free drinks were neat heh. Also we saw otters 10/10 favourite animal

Plan to record and have at least one of two edited and uploaded before next Friday since I go on holiday then, but it depends on how busy I get. I went slow and steady, just chipping away at Jad. And it worked. It only took like 18 years of trying, but imma be real, this is a win I'm super proud of. Not sure if anyone here has had a similar struggle, but it's nice to add Jad to the win pile rather than the losses after all this time. :)

As a result? I've been trying for fire cape on and off for years, failing, getting demotivated and giving up for a while. But this time? I locked the fuck in. I took every movement slowly. I didn't drink a potion until I protected from an attack. I didn't tag healers until I knew I was safe.

With RuneScape I've always struggled with finer movements/clicking aspects of the game, that's why I mainly focus on quests/skilling. As you can imagine, this made prayer switching tricky when timing it to Jads attacks. Now add on healers spawning, trying not to panic and get the motions down right.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a kid so many of these traits were just lumped into that and I never got a diagnosis for dyspraxia when I was younger.

...over the past 7 years I've come to terms with the fact I have dyspraxia. For those unaware, dyspraxia affects coordination, motor skills and movement. I'm pretty clumsy irl and this is a big part of that. One part I struggle with is coordination, especially in nerve-wracking situations.

Small thread inbound about a win I had this weekend. At this stage most veteran RuneScape players have beat Jad. Same here, at least after EOC when it became a lot easier. This past Saturday I beat Jad for the first time in OSRS. Believe it or not, this is a pretty massive achievement for me...

Tbf it's not all bad, there's some genuinely positive nutritionist stuff on there that really helped me heal my relationship with food and lose weight. Some of the sketches are funny, there's some decent shit posts, but damn does it feel like for every good short you get, the next 9 are crap.

After deciding to learn to drive 4 months ago, the DVLA have still not sent my GB provisional licence 🙃 If they just let me use my Norn Iron one rather than converting it, I could have passed my theory, took my test and prepped my motorway playlist, which would ofc start with "Life is a Highway".

Damn that's crazy if true. Feels like yesterday Pokémon Journeys was ending and we were saying goodbye to Ash. Could be good though, would love to see more narrative driven story with a tone change. More often than not the constraints of a seasonal story allow for those kinds of arcs to thrive.

To be clear, I get a big incentive for playing OSRS is that it's time consuming and arguably more difficult, as such achievements feeling meaningful. Even then, it's wild to me that an (at least partially) idle game has skills that take over 100 hours to get not even **a quarter** of a way to 99.

At the risk of sounding like a coddled RS3 player, afking shooting stars to 90 mining in OSRS really makes it sink in how much slower this game is. Even taking out the bonus XP, boosts and time-gated events, there's so many "slow" AFK methods for mining in RS3 that at minimum double the XP rate.

What I will say on this, while it is going slowly, I think the approach may be to make some scripted sketches in RS again like the old days, it's what I'm most familiar with so it feels like the best way to test the waters. Definitely some mental blocks to work out but, we'll see.
