Continuing work on ChroMappers rendering. Environment enhancements are working, and improved bloom means modded maps should look much better. Still need to iterate the bloom implementation...

We've been redoing every environment in ChroMapper for better visual accuracy to Beat Saber, and to allow for the newest GLS/v3 environments It's nice to return to this project after spending so much time on university and work projects :)

We've been moving ChroMapper back to the Built-In Render Pipeline, which means we can finally implement advanced graphical techniques seen in Beat Saber (yes, this opens the door to bloomfog and Vivify support)

Community members have gotten together to bring the Lady Gaga environment - the last environment to use the v2 lighting system - to ChroMapper. Expect this to land in Development when the pull request is merged.

Recently learned how to animate matrices on thousands of books purely on the GPU. Makes for some really cool effects that doesn't sacrifice CPU overhead or draw calls. This demonstration runs at full framerate within VRChat on Desktop, VR, and even mobile platforms - both Android and iOS.

To round things off, here's my most recent game project: World's Tiniest Desktop Pets! Me and oomfie @plusonerabbit.bsky.social created a GPU simulation for Ludum Dare, enabling millions of tiny little creatures to live on your desktop :) Check this out here: plusonerabbit.itch.io/worlds-tinie...

More recently, I've gotten into game development and game jams! I have participated in the last few Ludum Dare game jams, developing games that have been fairly well received. Here is my personal favorite jam game: Sold By Wizards. You can play it here: legoandmars.itch.io/sold-by-wiza...

Some of the other people on BlueSky likely know me from VRChat, as the adorable blue harpy. This is where my profile picture comes from :) On the side, I've also created small VRChat worlds! Most of these are just technical showcases featuring optimized shaders or systems I developed by hand.

A majority of people here probably know me from ChroMapper, the community level editor for Beat Saber. I'm the main developer behind this project! It's been in development since 2019 and continues to be my largest and most successful project.

As it turns out, the problem is my power brick getting too hot and reducing its output to the laptop. Modern problems require modern solutions.
Picture of a Dell 240-watt power brick, pinned in between a window and its window frame. The outdoor air, much colder than room temperature, slows the build-up of heat from the power brick. This solution, while cursed, allows the power brick to operate longer before thermal throttling and reducing power going to my laptop.

Shoutouts to Wallpaper Engine on Android for letting my indecisive ass make a shuffled playlist out of all of my Skeb commissions

Haven't posted this to BlueSky yet. I've spent the past two weeks creating a BPM detection library in pure C#, based off the same paper powering ArrowVortex's famous BPM detection. I'm hoping to release this on NuGet and elsewhere, under MIT, so people can include BPM detection in their projects.
An image of a console output window, showing the results of my BPM detection algorithm, where it was correctly able to identify the input song's tempo as 125 Beats Per Minute:

Got required samples. Count: 3469531

BPM calculated in 2.1192261 seconds.

Was told to post this somewhere, so here's a skeb commission I've got recently.
Skeb commission of my VRChat avatar. My VRChat avatar is a light blue harpy wearing black and gray clothing, with a smidge of white. She is sitting on a park bench holding a cup of coffee or tea.

Skeb is a Japanese website where English clients can directly contact and commission Japanese artists.

Well, now that I've moved and am settling into my new home... Hi! I write software. Most people know me as the developer of a map editor for Beat Saber. I'm mostly going to post the same bullshit and occasionally interesting stuff as my Twitter. Check that out to get an idea of what I post.
