The lore team also having such a massive blow far as I can tell, means that the next entry may not even be a continuation of the new saga 343 attempted to set up, which DID have significant intrigue in what they were telling. I truly hope somehow they find a way back for Halo, but it's looking hard.

To now have the very same company putting together a team to handle the next entry of Halo is just a giant red flag that even after all these years nothing has truly been learned. Even more so with nearly all of Halo Studios being gutted after only 1 game, and a remake at that spells more trouble.

Aaaaaand Halo may very well have had the final nail nailed in its coffin. New team or not, the call of duty DNA put into Halo 4 and 5 (and also to an extent Reach) were some of the most disliked aspects of the 343 era games.
