I had an interesting experience recently with an old piece of media. I watched a review for it maybe 12 years ago and decided to actually watch it myself for some project inspiration. Not only did I find it way better than the review framed it, but the review straight up changed context too.

Movies still being seen as the more artistic medium is pretty poisonous. I think games can take steps from movies for things like cutscenes but especially the term 'cinematic' really harms the medium in the long term.

So it took a few tutorials and some practice, but I've actually made some proper tummy art all by myself! And I did it as a gift for a certain someone, namely Kanilan. Honestly I don't feel much for Lute but her design is simple and the scenario was fun. Hope y'all like!

Yeah definitely. Context is key. It makes me think of that meme of "The author's barely disguised fetish" and while it's funny and all, its telling what media can use for content whether it's fetishised or not. Sometimes its the viewer more than the author!

Ultimately I guess it's just a matter of where the line between reality and fantasy gets drawn. Some stuff is obviously more unrealistic and other things do have more basis in the real world. Very much case by case and I think it's a good point.

Oh gee that's right I'm actually *on* this site sometimes. Better make use of it again. So this is Shroobeth, a member of the Shroob race who got herself a mushroom and took on a more humanoid form. Stuck in the Mushroom Kingdom, she makes trouble for the locals but is pretty harmless.

So I figure it's about time I post something again, so here's The Matagot! A cartoony supervillain who uses magic to steal, cause trouble and gobble people up. Her size is flexible but the rounded look is the one she tends to show up with. Never feed a Matagot!

A reference sheet for 'The Matagot' a feline supervillain magician with a very rounded lower body, top hat and large open cloak.

The Matagot has swallowed down a bunch of unfortunate victims and is showing off her squirming belly to some onlookers.

The Matagot, certain she can still fit in her magic box to perform a trick, but she's far too wide and round to fit in again!

Good to see this information resurfacing, I remember watching a video covering the Q5 changes. The truly amazing thing about this is just how they did no research and had no data to back up their claims and they just had this platonic idea of what kids shows should be.

So I've posted some Caden, I figure I should go ahead and post some of my other characters! One of my most prolific is Marche, a voracious paladin who seeks to rid his RPG world of wicked heroes, through one very tried and true method. And it's definitely all for good and not because he likes it.

The first commissioned piece of Marche, showing him devouring his three fellow party members.

Marche having to put up with a very boastful Elf, soon showing her that bullying lower level heroes gets you one place very fast!

Marche was sold a 'Belt of Holding' from a local blacksmith. To test it out and make sure she wasn't a cheat, he put it on and went about his usual business. Seems it's all good... for now.
