Honestly, it depends on your experience in the media that you are giving notes for. Good rule of thumb would be to ask for moderately above market rates, then negotiate with your bottom line being standard. Maybe tweak it depending on if there is future work to be had.

The problem with writing Villain Protagonists is that so few remember the "Villain" part of that equation. Lindsay Ellis got into this in her Producers video, but the simple fact is that if the Villain seems cool, people will want to emulate them. Case in point, Light Yagami from Death Note.
