A kid had just told the immigration judge that he would DIE if he were sent back to his home country. The judge said he would mail him an asylum application. Then the DHS attorney asked the judge to tell the kid they are now giving out $3000 to self-deport. That's how soulless they are.

Thank you! I work at an immigration nonprofit that recently lost its contract. I am terrified for all the children who will now be unrepresented. So many are being ordered removed or forced to take voluntary departure. Their parents/sponsors are being hunted down by HSI. These are monsters.
