Every other race photo from MIUT I'm smiling in, obviously caught unawares for this one. Kinda like it though. 📸🤣

I won a pair in a comp but only ever used separately. Great waterproof bag with 3 zipped inside & netted outside pockets. It's not a big bag but good enough for some race day kit. I have another dry bag for shoes. Omm has a similar bigger version. www.northernrunner.com/running-bags...

Newer inov8 are much more comfortable than older models even on tarmac, especially now they also feature the boomerang footbed.

Have you tried the new Mudtalons? They have changed the foot shape & come in wide fit. Top shoe. 👌

Rightly so!! There are always lessons to be learnt with running long, even after 10 years for me. Like putting on your waterproof trousers before your leggings soak through. 🤦‍♂️ Yeah proper stoked bringing home the black buckle, had to work hard for it. 😀

Congrats! That's quite some achievement for your first hundo! 👊 Hope you're recovering well. 😀

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 12/02/2025

Congrats on finishing Arc. I did at times question my life choices trudging from Bottalack to St Ives through stinking sludge. 🤢🤣 Hope you're recovering well.

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 31/01/2025

Most definitely will! Despite recceing it & knowing what I was in for, that was still a tougher than expected.

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 29/01/2025

Thanks! I had recced & prepped myself for 'that' section but to be honest, the conditions & terrain underfoot off the back of the storm were testing straight off the bat! It really is one brut of a race which I'm still feeling the effects of now.

Private suffering & public joy, I love it! 🤣 Yeah aside from the fog & fatigue I'm all smiles. 😀

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 28/01/2025

There was definitely less of that on the course but it was dark I was alone so you couldn't see or hear the cursing. 🤣

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

Sorry to hear this. Tough old section prior to St Ives would have done you no favours. Rest up & recover well. 😀

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 27/01/2025

Would love to 'run' the entire path someday. Not an FKT or anything just a nice jolly but maybe not during winter or storms. 🤣

What a weekend!! That's one tough race, had to work bloody hard for this buckle. Stoked to finish Arc of Attrition 100 in 23:07:04, 12th overall. So glad I took Monday off. 🫠🤣 Great to see you out there @smillbery.bsky.social & thanks for the photos. 😀

Thanks Rachel. 🙏😊

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 26/01/2025

I totally get that. Having a why is a big reason to get behind something & mine was the black buckle. I'm more than happy not to have to head back despite having a great weekend out. 😀

Wedge. It's definitely a once in a lifetime kinda gig if so. I can't believe how much Spartathlon has increased this year, don't even get me started on Badwater. Not that it's a race I'm particularly bothered about.

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 18/01/2025

Looks like we're going to see some challenging conditions during this year's edition of Arc of Attrition. I blame UTMB. 🤣

How after all your duties? 😮

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

Pretty sure it was you that mentioned it to me Spence.

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

Well now I am absolutely buzzing for it! See myself as more of an adventure runner/hiker, although not great with too technical. 😬

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 17/01/2025

Yeah I hear it's arguably tougher. 🫠

In hindsight I probably should have gone CCC after OCC but I met all the criteria for the big dance. No it looks like I have a supposedly bigger dance.

Coops @c00ps.bsky.social · 16/01/2025

Yeah I signed up for TDS upon receiving my UTMB rejection email. 🫠 Buzzing! *I think 🤣

Kim Collison has done it! This *is* his year and he has touched the wall as the winner of the 2025 Montane Spine Race. 268 miles and 39,000 feet of climb and 3 previous attempts. Outstanding achievement and I couldn’t be happier for him 🤩 Hi smile is very well earned #SpineRace
