Just finished: Free Falling by Lyla Sage Some refreshing moments that made it not-your-regular fake dating. Plus really sweet and non-spooky for a ghost story. My brain did too much the last few days (traveling for work) and this was a fantastic escape. 💙📚🌶️

For October, I’m trying to hold off and not start holiday books. Thus, my most anticipated list for the new month: • Entities to Lovers by Mallory Marlowe • Once, Again, Always by Amanda Gayle • A Court of Splintered Harmony by Sarah J Maas 💙📚🌶️

Now reading A Study in Sparkling 🍷 and I’ve just gotta say… this book is *so* horny. Not super smutty, just, good heavens. I think part of it is the stream-of-consciousness writing style. It makes you feel like you’re in their brain. 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

I’m not big on historical romance, but when you add some fantasy/magic, I’m all in. Happy pub date to Spellstruck! This cute, fun roaring 20s romance set in an England full of magic totally broke me out of a reading slump earlier this month. 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

I absolutely ripped through this audiobook. A similar writing style to her book Yes, Chef, and really just a fun, cute story. No complications, a nice easy listen. Shout out to it to Hoopla for getting the books Libby doesn’t (I don’t get the rules 🤷‍♀️). 💙📚🌶️📚🎧

Now there’s a spicy meatball… I just got a #NetGalley widget for a book that previously rejected me. What? But thanks! But what?? 💙📚

I know it’s only September, but it’s time to start asking the important question: How early is too early for holiday books? 🎅 Start too soon, and I’ll run out before December. Too late, and I’ll still be reading them in Jan. 💙📚🌶️

A Map to Murder comes out this week! I’m not a huge mystery reader, but this was a fun little jaunt to ‘60s San Francisco that made for a quick read. 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

Wild Goose Chase was one of the books I was most excited about for July, but I just didn’t get to it (I’ve been behind on all my reading). Now (in Sept 🤦‍♀️) I cracked the cover. I’m 10% in and all I can think is “fuck yeah” and “whyyyyyyy did I wait so long.” 💙📚🌶️

I firmly believe there’s a place for Hallmark-y romance books. Curled up with this little (metaphorical) cup of hot apple cider … ideal for a lazy evening. Just finished: Fall into Place by Kristyn J Miller 💙📚🌶️

Okay, it’s official, I’m going full autumn. And I’ve spent Labor Day weekend really ringing in the new season. This was a sweet witchy read and way more emotional than I expected. (With All My Haunted heart releases tomorrow 🙌) 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

With all of Laurie Gilmore’s past Hallmark-style rom coms, I really didn’t know what to expect from this one. Turns out, she can write a fun little paranormal romance, too. (And dark? But not THAT dark.) 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

Happy pub day to this weird, funny read, I Hope This Email Finds You In Hell by Mackenzie Reed. I’m not sure what I expected from this book, but I had such a good time reading it. I could not be less surprised that the HQ of Hell is beneath Silicon Valley. 💙📚🌶️

I was really craving a read that was sweet and uncomplicated, and The Pumpkin Bride hit the spot. Is it Shrek fan fiction? Maybe. But was it a balm for the soul? Yes. Comes out this week! #netgalley 💙📚🌶️📚🎧

Ever have those books where you finish and you’re like “damn, should I be in therapy because I liked that??” Exactly how I felt finishing Foxx by Paisley Hope. A total auto-read author but still, that was messed up. 💙📚🌶️

T-1 workday until a long weekend camping! What book(s) to bring? I’ll either pretend I’m finally going to tackle my library backlog (👋 to the 4 overdue books forcing my kindle to stay in airplane mode) or just accept the fact that it’s going to be Dungeon Crawler Carl 6. 💙📚

I feel like Meg Cabot deserves an award for being the (only?) currently writing author I loved as a pre-teen and still really like as an adult. The new Witches of West Harbor installment comes out this week and it’s absolutely charming 🧡 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

This fun, easy, Hallmark-y read comes out this week. Sometimes you just need an uncomplicated rom com, and Lauren Blakely does that so well. My only beef? The corgi on the cover is only in a few scenes. Lots of other good pups in the book though. 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

There’s something about Ellie Palmer’s writing that just makes me happy. Frankly, it’s probably the high degree of nonsense. But I love a kooky town with bonkers habits. And boy did this book deliver. Happy release day to Married with Benefits 🎉 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

Excited for Just a Highland Fling to come out this week! I have been such a fan of Naina Kumar’s writing, and this book absolutely lived up to every hope I had for it. Was a bagpipe-playing poetry professor what I knew I wanted? Nope. But it’s what I needed. 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley

Jenny Holiday’s Book Club Boyfriend comes out this week! This is one of those books that took me by surprise. I still am not sure I particularly like the MMC… but in a good way? A book I’m still ruminating on long after I finished reading is always one I’m glad to have read. 💙📚🌶️ #netgalley
