ghgrab is a TUI tool for downloading files from Git repos without cloning the whole repo. You can browse GitHub, GitLab, Codeberg, Forgejo repos, preview files, batch download folders, grab releases and more. Abhinav made ghgrab using @ratatui.rs & is Terminal Tool of the Week! ⭐️

Just added standard.site support to my own blog today. Also tried out pckt.blog, love the concept. I'm wondering if there's like an RSS reader equivalent for atproto-enabled blogs? Can we somehow bring back Google Reader and its social aspects with this?

Standard.site - One schema. Every platform.
Standard.site provides shared lexicons for long-form publishing on AT Protocol. Making content easier to discover, index, and move across the ATmosphere.

I only contributed to ESLint briefly but very intense during those months and I learned SO MUCH. It was the project that introduced me to ASTs properly and making me not afraid to touch them. Thank you @humanwhocodes.com :)

13 years ago today I made the first commit to the ESLint Git repo. It’s hard to believe that this project I cobbled together in my spare time over a couple of weeks is still going strong. I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting over these years and the journey it’s been. A thread.
A birthday cake for ESLint, with candles of 1 and 3 at the top for 13 and the ESLint logo with "Happy birthday" on the side.

With the right skills, AI is great at finding vulnerabilities. Sentry developed Warden to automate this, and used Home Assistant as a test bed. Our admin/user role split has been a work in progress for years, and Warden just flagged all the places we missed. Neat! cra.mr/finding-vuln...

We found 100+ vulnerabilities with Warden across Sentry and a few big OSS repos—here’s how we scope skills, iterate locally, and run it on PRs.

Speaking of agents, we now have `sentry schema` to explore our API schema along with `--json` support for even `sentry help` and any `--help` flag so your agent can discover the CLI much easier. We also have much better and split SKILLs per command, thanks to x.com/zeeg

So many minor fixes and UX improvements to guide humans *and* bots/agents when mistakes happen along with much nicer and consisent output across all commands

So many performance improvements from reducing number of requests, smart caching, reducing bloat (including from our very own SDK). You really should feel it if you used it earlier. Oh and now we can do offline upgrades (yes, really!)

I wonder if there are other things we can do like this. And before you say, I tried UPX. Not only it breakes compiled bun binaries, it also adds ~250ms start-up overhad which is not something we want in a CLI.
000
Burak Yigit Kaya @byk.im · 16/02/2026
It punches out these unused ICU bits from your binary, replacing them with zeros and now your binary compresses much better. We saved ~10MB from the compressed size bringing it close to ~25MB.

The size on disk is not very important, it is the size being transported and we *just* added gzipped assets (because GitHub does not do HTTP compression for some reason 🤷🏻). Do you know what compresses well? Let me tell you: zero!
100
Burak Yigit Kaya @byk.im · 16/02/2026
Slicing that out from the compiled binary was challenging due to the need to shift offsets. I also did not want to compile bun from scratch either (although that would enable more optimizations re size). Then it hit me:
100
Burak Yigit Kaya @byk.im · 16/02/2026
I was looking for a way to reduce our binary size for Sentry CLI. It uses `bun --compile` which is quite large at ~100MB. After some research, realized that it ships with ~30MB ICU data for locale operations that we will never do.
220
Burak Yigit Kaya @byk.im · 02/02/2026
And we are going Bun-first. If we can find a way to shring the Bun binary sizes, I don't think we'll have any reason to go with npx at this point!
000
Burak Yigit Kaya @byk.im · 02/02/2026
Then we needed SQLite and semver operations inside the CLI and to my pleasant surprise Bun has *BOTH* built-in. So now we have this `node-polyfills` file for npx/node support: github.com/getsentry/cl...

Possibly. How I see this: the way LLMs work can be done deterministic as it is all mathematical functions. Eventhough it relies on probabilites, you can still deterministically control what is the cut off and use no random system. So when this becomes a business need, it is possible to get done.

Everytime I travel, I have to use my IEMs. Like them but finding good tips was always a struggle. I like foam tips the best but they get very itchy after a few hours and putting them in an out are a hassle. Foam tips are nice but they get slippy and fall out after 30 mins as my ears get warmer.

Great article thanks! >We reject this defeatism. With a little bit of work, we can understand the root causes of our nondeterminism and even solve them! From a user's perspective, it's just temperature. Rest of the non-deterministic behavior comes from optimizations.

Determinism is also solved, especially with the temperature.

This is exactly what's needed to make the next productivity jump. Not an agent helping you plan trips or whatever (still useful just not very profitable). The shift will come when we start doing work and thinking about it in a completely new way. Especially for white collar jobs. No more BS jobs.

Both agree and disagree. Agree with the observation, disagree that this is a problem. Anthropic models are not just good at coding, they are good at problem solving. I've seen the models try things and then realize they are stuck and unblock themselves numerous times.

Burak Yigit Kaya @byk.im · 01/12/2025
Agree with Google for the end user side. That said I find Gemini consistently worse compared to ChatGPT. Amazon would win through platform hosting. I still don't see who's filling the enterprise model gap except for Anthropic though.
