I had an interesting project this weekend. A group from Carnegie Mellon University is in town working on a swarm for medevac using Spots and drones. They had some parts break and needed some printed. It was cool to meet Spot. Really cool to see what they’re doing with these.

Thank you 🙏. I bet you could recreate what I'm doing. 1. Create a coil as a cut (or circular line along the cylinder) 2. Mirror it 3. Create a cylindrical pattern out of those 2 features Hope this helps!

I’m not sure if this is gross or genius, but I made a small change to the thread. Since the top part of the thread had overhangs, I added a chamfer to angle it a bit more. I think this will make it easier to thread when you start to twist.

So, I’ve been tinkering with a 3D printable GoPro MAX case today. I’ve picked up some cool skills like knurling. I’m currently figuring out the best way to thread the two bodies together. My current design works, but I’m not sure if it’s the most efficient way to print it yet. #fusion360
