A screenshot of one of Undertale's endings. It is a photograph drawn in pixel art in a sepia tone, showing the game's characters taking a group photo, with the words "THE END" written beneath. The image has been edited to have a red circle next to Asgore, Undyne and Alphys, intended to draw the viewer's attention away from Hatsune Miku who has been edited into the photo next to Papyrus and Toriel.

I'm currently in the process on figuring out what to do with this space on my new website. I'd quite like to have this part of the page randomly rotate between various images, but I need ideas of what to put there. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :P
A screenshot of my website, Byespace. A red rectangle surrounds the "banner" area of the site next to the site's logo, which currently contains a drawing of Nano from Nichijou stretched to fit the wide aspect ratio of the banner with similarly stretched text reading "NANO".

dont worry the backend of this is horrific
Screenshot of the folder structure for "gamezone". The pages and list of games are defined in XML files, and the layouts of the pages are defined in XSLT files (XML Stylesheets deprecated in modern browsers)

i was trying specifically to not make this look good why do i kinda like it
A screenshot of the in-development version of Byespace. It shows the header for a section called "gamezone", of which you can only see a banner with horrible dithering (limited to four colours), which contains a Game Boy Color next to the text "gamezone" set in the font Papyrus

aaaand now i can update both my projects page AND my homepage's list of projects by editing `projects.xml`. This sucks so bad but its pretty cool. yes this is xlst serverside i made a seperate stylesheet just for this
Screenshot of the homepage of my website. There is a projects list on this page, which is fetched from the same XML file as before, but this time in a denser layout (fewer links are shown)

dont worry dark moders i have just the thing
CSS snippet from that projects page. It detects if the visitor's preferred colour scheme is dark and if so, applies a filter to invert the colours of the whole page.

nano: she's in your home (bye) @byespace.net · 18/08/2026
dear god
Screenshot of Byespace's projects page. The content of the page isn't important here, but the file name is "projects.xml". This page was transformed into HTML in the browser using XLST.The same page but opened in Chrome's "view page source" tool. The same file is shown but the projects are shown in a machine-readable format.

An edit of the original image (a tier list titled "rating y'all's OC's", with rankings from F to A with S at the top). My OC, Bye, is a character who's head has been replaced with a floating CRT television, with an antenna and two white floating eyes on a black background. They were placed, jokingly, by me, in F tier, with a red arrow and a circle highlighting them.

the other genre of these summaries is like, for theme songs and things in soundtracks “this isn’t just a song, it’s the theme for XYZ” wish i was kidding but ive seen stuff like this far too much

“Children of the City by Mili isn't just a catchy tune; it's deeply tied to the game Library of Ruina. The song serves as the theme for a late-game boss and its lyrics are filled with” before cutting off.

if anyones curious as to what the issue actually is i did try and figure it out in May the second image was taken on June 6. Currently it’s gone a couple of pixels above the taskbar
Discord screenshot showing messages from me, dated 8 May 2026.
“it looks like my monitor is dying a really slow and painful death, so i get to go through monitor shopping hell (smiley emoticon)
“supposedly it’s a tape automated bonding fault, but i *did* ask google gemini that so i haven’t a clue what it actually is”

Attached to those messages is an image showing the taskbar of a Windows computer displayed on the monitor, with a bunch of horizontal lines at the bottom of the screen that are discoloured (blue is yellow, green is dark purple, etc) The same monitor a month later. The discoloured lines have gone from just under halfway up the taskbar to almost completely covering the taskbar.

She's been there the whole time.
An edited screenshot from an episode of the Dropout show Game Changer, the set of which has a teal-blue background with occasional stripes of yellow, orange and red running from top-to-bottom. The camera is focused on Sam Reich's stand where he does the intro. Instead of Sam, though, stands Nano, a fictional robot character from the anime Nichijou. She is wearing a red hoodie and has a wind-up key on her back. A subtitle suggests she's delivering Sam's line "And your host me, I've been here the whole time."

Nano is made up of abstract images derived from an image of the ocean. It emits a strong blue light that outlines everything in the room and casts a long shadow on the characters.
