"Celine Vale" is a scammer whose portfolio is artificially stuffed with stolen art. They've been called out multiple times and have had at least one past account suspended after (accurate) reports to bsky moderation. Take a look at their *entire* artstation and tell me that's all one artist.

010

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

A common scam right now is impersonation, where a scammer claims to be an artist with a large following and a Vgen, and then claims that their Vgen is not working and they need to conduct the transaction via another method. Always double check with the artist on their socials or Vgen!

010

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Unless you've worked with someone before *and* know that it's actually them that you're messaging, avoid conducting a commission entirely over Discord. Avoid paying for commissions via Paypal F&F or Cashapp if you don't know the artist; use Paypal invoices or sites like Vgen or Kofi if possible.

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

While lots of legit commission transactions take place over Discord, be wary of anyone who doesn't want to post their portfolio or art examples publicly but will show them to you on Discord, as that's a pretty clear hallmark of a scammer.

100

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Bots will almost always try to take the conversation offsite to Discord. Many of them run the same scam on AO3, Twitch, Twitter, Tumblr, and on Discord itself, where they join large servers and cold-DM people at random to solicit commissions.

Unfortunately the situation on bsky is pretty terrible and the vast majority of accounts that regularly reply to posts with commission keywords are scammers, so I'm very cautious. I apologize for publicly calling you out and I wish you luck finding work.

110

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

All of that is understandable and well-reasoned, and gives me enough reason to remove you from the blocklist. There are some genuine scammers who have Vgen and are likely bot-assisted. They often catch people out, so I try to give a heads up when I see one while looking for posts with bot replies.

100

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

You're mutuals with at least one obvious scammer. Your account is relatively new. You've replied to posts that are most likely bot bait or that only bots replied to. I'm willing to hear you out- dm me- but that's my reasoning for adding you to the list. 2/2

100

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 01/10/2026

You're on multiple lists of this nature. You reply to posts you're not actually qualified for (eg, someone looking for groups of characters when you don't have any examples of that; posts asking for moots only when they don't follow you), and reply to a lot of posts with commission keywords. 1/2

100

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 29/09/2026

The tactic seems to be: 1) Create new account and pretend to be seeking commissions, let a bunch of bots reply and have someone warn you about them 2) Wait a week or two 3) Start replying to commission wanted posts to say "Those are bots, you should comm my friend [main account]!"

"Rubyyy" just fed me a sob story in DMs about how her "neighbor" Sela Capy/Sheery/Sharalyy/various other names has a sick mother and I was being so cruel to her by putting her accounts on the list. She also happens to have the exact same unusual typing quirks as those accounts...

210

Commission Scammer Blocklist @byebyecommbots.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

Yup, it's one of their MOs. There's a new thing some of them are trying now where they'll create another account, pretend to be seeking art and get a bunch of bot replies, and then pretend to have commissioned one of the bots so they can "recommend" them, which "Rubyyy" just tried with you.
