I support the resistance to “Gulf of America” and the rest. I could, however, get behind renaming it the **Gulf of the Americas**, as it borders more than one nation of the Americas and connects directly with the Caribbean. That, at least, acknowledges the geography.

I fell in love with this film the first time I saw it. I have no idea how many times since then I have watched it. But it has seen me through some very dark periods of my like. Ruth Gordon and Bud Cort were exquisite choices, and I cannot imagine anyone else in their roles at this point.

Minor disagreement. The worst part was the Supreme Court not upholding the very clear and concise meaning of the Insurrection Clause of the 14th Amendment and allowing him to be on the ballot. Because that should have eliminated any possibility of him being in office.

Good spouse indeed. I simply don’t watch any news. 🤪 Keeps my blood pressure down. Mostly true. I stopped watching news on 9/11 because it was triggering PTSD flashbacks. And I wasn’t even in combat! Just never started watching again.

An interesting thread. I know several trans men and women who have struggled with accessing treatment, and coercion to deny their identity, but none who actually regret transitioning. Most say it was the best decision they ever made. Almost all say they are alive today because they did.
