I'll do more eventually, just for now I'm doing comic strips. Also! I've actually been animating most my life, even did some school for it. Probably better at it than comics, but I wanted to tell stories and that's hard with animation solo.

I put up with it for the learning, and I do think it's important to challenge myself, learn to sit with the friction and fail a lot. hopefully I was successful by those standards. To be fair, most people don't even know about the comic series.

Making long-form comics solo for years was an endurance test. I learned a lot about building/directing a scene but I never really learned to enjoy it and people don't read it(except a few beautiful people♥️) I'm done doing that, at least alone.

Once I saw the algo as a game competing with my friends, it started to make more sense. I gotta get that highscore. It's not about being good, it's about playing the game. Being good is just a prerequisite. Not great, just good enough. Even just being "good," puts you over the majority.
