Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 16/04/2026Ugghh! That sounds like a MISERABLE day!! I'm so sorry. 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 14/04/2026I'm so excited for you! Congratulations!!! 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 13/04/2026Thank you, @ashpreads.bsky.social for this hope-giving encouragement. A year ago, I thought I might put Dalrymple away forever, but RevPit has given me a renewed enthusiasm and direction. I am so grateful! 250
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 13/04/2026Nice choice! I just made a quiche last week with leftover Easter ham. Yummy!! 020
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 13/04/2026It's a tie: Coconut custard pie (my grandmother's recipe) and Libby's traditional pumpkin pie. (I love pie!) 010
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 12/04/2026What a joy to find such a smart, kind, and creative community of writers with whom to share encouragement and commiseration! I'm grateful and honored to be a part of this space with you. 0130
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 12/04/2026Just my own theorizing, but if I were an editor, I would purposely leave the winner out of my 10queries so that spot could go to someone who wasn't already going to get intensive feedback. 080
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 11/04/2026The world needs more people like you, Demi. I've enjoyed both your heart and your contagious enthusiasm throughout this process. 130
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 10/04/2026I feel this one! (I also need to significantly trim my manuscript to be marketable...) 120
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 09/04/2026Oh, this is soooo me, too! The story might stay with me forever, but the names will often be gone within an hour of reading the last page. 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 09/04/2026Ironically, I'm currently reading an MG novel retelling of Les Miserables as a potential comp for my book. (The book is A Wish in the Dark by Christina Soontornvat.) 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 09/04/2026I'm going to guess this is me. Those first pages have nearly been the death of me. I've re-written them so many times, I think I've sucked all the life out of them. Whether this is me or not...I'm taking this feedback to heart. 010
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 09/04/2026100%! Not only is music a key plot point in my #RevPit submission, I actually imagined what a musical adaption might look like while I was writing it. (And since my son now writes musicals, I can't help but daydream about a future collaboration. 😁) 191
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 08/04/2026And stuffed animals? Still her favorite gift to give and receive. (This is the same child who is now driving, taking AP courses, and serving as an editor on her school yearbook.) They truly are sitting in two worlds/spaces at once. 030
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 08/04/2026My 15-year-old daughter loves stickers so much, she has started rewarding herself with them when she meets her own goals. 130
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 08/04/2026I believe my (MG) manuscript would also likely fit into a "young YA" space, but this doesn't exist as a marketable category, does it? And if it does, what ages does it include? 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 07/04/2026I lived in Sagamihara. I have such good memories of my trips into Tokyo (and my solo trips into Machida). I also was able to visit Okinawa and Hokkaido. Then in high school, an exchange student from Kobe lived with my family for a year, so if/when I go back, that will be a top destination. 100
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 06/04/2026Also, on an unrelated note, I lived in Japan from ages 10-13. I'm hoping to go back again one day. Are your MG novels set in Japan? 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 06/04/2026I'm right there with you, Jude! Mine is sitting at 68,000 words --upper MG fantasy with a 13-year-old protagonist and material better suited for middle school than upper elementary. 220
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 04/04/2026I'm a tea lover, too. Yorkshire is my favorite, but these sound lovely. What's been your favorite so far? 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 03/04/2026I'm seriously giving away my age here, but this was one of my favorite TV shows when I was in middle school/high school. I haven't watched it since and have no idea what I'd think of it now. 000
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 03/04/2026I looked up "If Your Heart Eclipses Mine." It's beautiful. 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 03/04/2026Someone else is occupying my favorite writing space right now, but this is where I write by hand into a composition book. (Preferably with a mug of tea nearby.) The typing comes later. 010
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 02/04/2026I wasn't able to spot it. (But in the process of looking I took a really great video of an airplane...🤪) 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 01/04/2026I live on the other side of Florida (Sarasota area) and am planning to go outside in a few minutes hoping to see it! 110
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 29/03/2026Whether Q10 is referring to my MG or not, I see how applicable this is to me. Thank you for this feedback! 020
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 27/03/2026After reading Jess Redman's The Miraculous last year, I did exactly what you're suggesting and cut my MG chapters into chunks such that they break where something's unresolved. Originally, the chapters were long, but now they average 1000 words per chapter. I like the change! 020
Brooke Windsor @bwindsorwrites.bsky.social · 27/03/2026I'm loving all these recommendations! Thanks, everyone! 040
