bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 27/09/2026I missed the Seahawks game because I was touching grass and figured it was a gimme but the last thing I saw before I left was a video of a commanders fan hoping for a 23-21 win 390
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 14/09/2026Got some Turkish delight at the middle eastern store and it is actually amazing. Applets and Cotlets are a pale imitation 030
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 28/08/2026@seahawksnerd75.bsky.social I don’t think it was nice what those Titans fans said you about or your teammates 4132
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 24/08/2026Wild that they are charging $140 for this limited edition t shirt 040
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 20/07/2026Stopped by the local Thai grocery store and picked up some duck laab, curry and Jeow bong from their deli 160
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 11/07/2026Anyone else think this guy looks more than a little like Pete Carroll? 030
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 09/07/2026Some people on here are still blaming Dem leadership for “clearing the field” 340
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 05/07/2026The wife went all-out for Sunday lunch, including making sesame paste from scratch (roasting and then grinding raw sesame seeds) 060
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Thankful today and every day I live in a multicultural, pluralistic democracy 1234
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 15/06/2026Grilled some lemongrass pork, steak and Thai sausages. Serves with papaya salad 040
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Where we were there weren’t a lot of pedestrian-only sidewalks and we ended up walking on the street (with cars and scooters) a bunch. Most drivers seemed pretty careful but I wouldn’t say they went out of their way to yield to pedestrians. Most people seemed to get around on scooters. 021
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 10/06/2026We ate a lot of variations of these melons, which have an edible skin and edible seeds. They remind me a bit of the yellow Korean melons we get at Asian grocery stores in the U.S. 130
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 10/06/2026The fruit options at the nicer grocery store were amazing. Giant lychee, mangosteen, durian, many types of melon, etc as well as apples, oranges, grapes etc. mulberries were in-season there and they were everywhere 130
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Those giant “seedless” mangos you see in those videos are real and they are amazing. We had one about the size of my kid’s head with a seed only about 1/4” thick 160
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 10/06/2026I first visited the forbidden city 20 years ago. You could drive by Tian’anmen square and one of the cafes inside the forbidden city was a Starbucks. Visiting recently, it seemed updated/restored with more vibrant colors but it also required tickets booked 1 week in advance linked to our passports 250
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Ate at this very fancy chain restaurant in a luxury mall in Beijing and it reminded me of American Chinese food (which is very trendy now in China). Western-style service was immaculate and impressive but the flavors were muted. 100
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 10/06/2026/stares directly at the camera “I am the exact same kind of communist as Xi Jinping” 150
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 17/05/2026I new it was going to be a slippery slope when we went from “millionaire and billionaires and corporations” to “billionaires and corporations” to whatever is happening with this now 010
bahvoom @bvm.bsky.social · 09/05/2026Graham Platner doesn’t believe in things like “banning assault weapons” because he understands that sometimes a person wants to have access to those kinds of weapons to hunt other people for sport/adventure 210
