I’ve seen a lot of people discussing the recent dysfunction in our military. But no one seems to ask the question about why, in 2003, it was targeted, direct, and accurate, and today it’s sloppy and uncoordinated. Attitude, as they say, reflects demented, inebriated leadership.

I was discussing with some friends how RFK, Jr. claimed HHS grew so fast when it was formed from HEW in 1980 and that’s closer to the end of World War II than it is to today. Then I realized I was born before 1980… Man, I suddenly feel old.

I have mentioned my mom's dementia. Mentioning death opens a whole can of suicidal worms. She often gets terrified that we'll be separated. The last time I said I was here until she left me, she asked if she could visit me. Now I say, "I'm with you until the end of the line." She accepts that. #MCU

I missed the early part of the arguments. Were they trying to invoke the Great Law of Peace? I mean, Congress acknowledged that our government and constitution were largely based on it and the government of the people of the long houses (Iroquois) but I don't think that's a valid precedent.
