Let's lay in the grass with Laurel 🌱

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

i was thinking about a comic on laurel, but i'm not a story writer nor have i ever drawn a comic before, and there are other things i want to focus on with my art first

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

i appreciate that and that's totally fair

hope i can make someone's day with my deer art, i just like hearing about it! i will continue to post here as normal for those who do 💚

thank you for the comments so far! i draw laurel because i personally find it fun, but i must admit, an artist likes to show and share their works, even if a lot of us are not really built for social media. seeing things stay stagnant for so long does not help, but at the end of the day i just-

i do feel like my follower count has stayed the same for well over a year, i wonder what that is about

100

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

the main reason i've been posting on here is for people who fled x a few times a year ago to still see my stuff, just sometimes i think to myself "where are they?" maybe i just don't understand this place well enough, i just wish it was more than postdump and leave right now

210

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

that statistic makes it sound like there's like nobody on here huh

100

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

true it's at least easy to post on here, i just wish i felt a bit more compelled to check things here a bit more

030

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

you who genuinely enjoy all my stuff and it's who i draw for! that all being said it is at least very easy to post here so the chance of me stopping to post here is low, i just wish it was a more fun experience

150

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

it admittedly makes me check this site less thinking "it's going to do poorly i probably don't have anything to read on there" and turns posting here from a fun interaction to "i'll just post here for the people who aren't on (x) platform and go" and that sucks cause i know there's people here like-

130

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

what matters to me most is hearing that my art makes someone's day, and i don't mean this to say i don't appreciate those who have been showing that support but i must say it feels a little demotivating as an artist to post somewhere knowing the post will just do bad no matter what-

110

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

i have tried using various hashtags for a while to see the differences, but unfortunately i couldn't tell a difference in reach

100

buup 🦌🍂 @buupnya.bsky.social · 01/09/2026

I feel like it is pointless to post here, stuff never really takes off for me here despite trying for about 2 years and it feels unrewarding, maybe i should just stop and continue posting in places that do respect the time i put into my drawings ^^'
