We had a brilliant time at the NCCPE's Engage Summit in Birmingham last week! We're inspired by the vision and values of the Centre, and we've drawn up a quick visual note to showcase the key values that'll serve as the north star for the PEP space towards a new, connected, relational future.

Great research should always play back its findings to its participants in a way that’s accessible and digestible. These Zines we produced for Dr Alice Garvey’s Fairer Rural Energy Futures project are a great example of creatively sharing research findings with participants. #AcademicSky #EduSky

Buttercrumble supports researchers with public engagement by both capturing data in participant workshops, as well as through helping to translate and visualise your research in creative outputs to share with participants, policymakers and other stakeholders afterwards. #AcademicSky #EduSky

Each month, we share work to support researchers with their public engagement and impact. Here are some toolkits we’ve created for Purple Patch Arts in partnership with academics from the University of Leeds to make research more inclusive for adults with learning disabilities. #AcademicSky #EduSky

Your reputation among academic colleagues is one thing, but branching out to share and promote your work with wider audiences can be a different challenge. That’s where our mix of academic experience and creativity can help you translate and visualise your research. #AcademicSky #EduSky

Visual notetaking is a novel and creative way to support your public engagement activities. Whether it’s to capture lectures from conferences or events or visualising data from participant and patient workshops, it’s a powerful tool to support engagement and share your work. #AcademicSky #EduSky

REF can be a dirty word, but it’s important. One big change with REF29 is an increased emphasis on engagement as a core component of research - not an optional add-on. Set yourself up for success by thinking about your engagement and impact now, instead of as an afterthought. #AcademicSky #EduSky

Each month, we showcase our recent work to support researchers with their dissemination, public engagement and impact. This month, we’re featuring visual notetaking we’ve done for UEA and Natural England to support a public engagement workshop and YCEDE’s project celebrations. #AcademicSky #EduSky

As researchers, we’re used to writing long manuscripts and walls of technical, detailed text. But translating to reach wider audiences can be challenging. Creativity helps engage your audiences with visuals to cut through the text and help them digest and understand your work. #AcademicSky #EduSky

Here's a visual abstract we did for Stephen Morris, an NIHR Doctoral Fellow working with families to give medicines to kids. We developed this visual abstract with Stephen, with input from parents in his study to accessibly explain resilience theories in this research context. #AcademicSky #EduSky
