@brandibuchman.bsky.social I'm hoping there are enough of us that don't fall for the propaganda he and his PACs are putting out (so bad I can't listen to the radio right now. He clearly never studied Texas history (even the watered down stuff they taught us)...

@brandibuchman.bsky.social I remember walking around DC when the blackberries came out and watching people walk in to poles, people and falling over stuff. Never saw an open manhole though. Later when I got a blackberry I tried (not always successfully) not to be one of those people. 😂

@brianvastag I've lived through that a couple of times. Almost impossible to get good info where the storm hit. I have seen some responses get better where the cell phone companies move in portable towers. Folks can them go to that location and get connected. Doesn't work well for islands though.

@brianvastag always better to prepare for the worst. Just got hit by TS Edouard and it strengthened after landfall. A lot of trees down, power out and flooding. Much more than anticipated. So better to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. Everyone around here seems to have forgotten […]

Worst part of the storm - I would estimate 50 - 60 mph gusts. #Edouard #txwx

Looks like close to a direct hit for my area. Glad it is not projected to reach hurricane strength before landfall but even small storms can spawn tornados. #Edouard

@brandibuchman.bsky.social I agree - just back from Europe following the path the 506 PIR 101st Airborne Easy Company (Band of Brothers) took in WWII. War should be a last resort of nations and not the first option of bullies.

@brianvastag it is hard to tell what they care about. The proposed budget is almost exactly the same as last year with major cuts. What he proposed in his last press conference doesn't appear to be covered. So it's another fight this year. I recommend anyone that cares let your representative […]
