Just finished Ace Combat 8, and it's almost sacrilege for me to say this, but I think it's my favorite Ace Combat game now, OVER 4 AND 5. This game legitimately made me cry, to the point where I had to fight enemies through tears. Gaming is not dead, and there are still good games. #gaming #AC8

Been struggling with a bug for the past 12 days where when you buy a ship, then save and load twice, the ship disappears. I finally found out that I was saving objects in a Dictionary by their NAME, not their ID.🤦Once again, IT WAS A SINGLE LINE OF CODE! #indiedev #gamedev #godot #programming

Emerald's got it lol. I only use uvs if I want to bake textures and use the model outside blender lol. (And I do 3D modelling, animation, and game dev as my main hobby)

Braking LOS to ships' broadsides is certainly possible, and once you're retreating in a direction and don't turn around, you can certainly get away. The AI will "give up" on chasing you after a while, but going back in is certainly risky.

I think it reads fairly clearly. You just have to try to stay out of LOS of the sides of ships, but in a multi ship battle, I would expect you to be hit. Taking on a fleet of large ships in a gunboat is just asking to be sunk lol.

Yes! Gunboats can stick to the backside of a frigate pretty well, but you need to keep track of your speed to do so. The trick is to stay out of line of sight of the frigate's broadside while keeping your cannons trained on the frigate.

Slower. I recently buffed all ships' speed and turn rate, but frigates turn much slower than gunboats.

Survive it longer, possibly win if you can perfectly outmaneuver the Frigate, but that frigate can take you out in just a few broadsides, so you have to be really skilled, and very lucky. I'm designing the game where smaller ships should think VERY carefully if they should engage with a larger ship.

Newest news on Reaper's Sea...Gunboats and Schooners got MORE CANNONS! My playtesters INSISTED on fighting Frigates with Gunboats for 10 minutes, so I made that *slightly* more viable. Also, AI ships will now surrender if they have no chance of winning! #indiedev #gamedev #screenshotsaturday

Summary Of My Day: I got out my old Xbox Elite controller to show someone, and it had a ton of battery acid on it. I apparently had left the batteries in it when I had put it away several years ago. I spent the next few hours cleaning it, and I had to order a new battery clip. :/ #gaming
