Blaming zelensky for the price of diesel is basically admitting that previous Russian sanctions were completely ineffective. If they were working it wouldn't matter if Russia produced diesel or not.

When Putin invaded Ukraine, he framed it as a crusade to “liberate” the Ukrainian people and portrayed them as victims of a foreign-backed Nazi regime. Having failed to defeat Ukraine militarily, he is now waging war directly on the same Ukrainian civilians he claimed to be saving in 2022
