I recently obtained some LEGO kits for various Star Wars projects... Ha! I wanted to build the Anzellan's ship from the new movie and Grogu helped! You can take a look at the whole build here: archiveofourown.org/works/85141026 Let me know if you have any questions!

In case you missed it (a couple of years ago) Grogu helped me build Din Djarin's Helmet out of LEGO. It was fun and easy. Which reminds me, Grogu and I wrote a story about Luke's Jedi Sleep Away Camp. You can find it here: archiveofourown.org/works/455283...

I've been writing tiny and not so tiny stories about Grogu, The Mandalorian, and that Galaxy far, far away for four years. I'm going to post links to the stories that people seemed to like the most. First: How Grogu and Din Djarin Tamed the Wild Mythosaur. archiveofourown.org/works/490345...
A Grogu doll is wearing a white shirt that an image of Grogu peeking over The Mandalorian's Helmet with a caption in black lettering reading The Dadalorian. The figure is also wearing tan pants. In front of that figure is a LEGO kit (soft paper pouch) depicting a miniature Razor Crest in grey and yellow LEGO bricks. Also in front of the figure is a LEGO beskar card depicting The Mandalorian with Grogu perched on his back, looking over his left shoulder. Other LEGO kits can be seen in the background, including one to build the Dark Saber, and another to build Luke's speeder.

Ta Da! Yippee! Hurrah! It’s done, it’s done, it’s done! We did it! Grogu and the team built the New Republic Razor Crest! It’s a great ship. Fast. Sleek. With lots of POWER! Hat’s off to LEGO for the redesign. It was a fun build. Grogu hopes you’ve enjoyed helping him build the ship. Cheers!
Grogu is wearing a Christmas themed suit with a white shirt and red tie. On the table top next to him the completed ship can be seen in front of the LEGO Box. Both engines are now in place. A figure of Din Djarin without a helmet is also on the table top, looking at the camera. The table top is covered in light blue batiked fabric. The mini-figs of Grogu, Mando, Zeb, and the Colonel, are positioned on the top of the ship. The Stormtrooper has fallen back to take up a defensive position.

Yes, the pieces are organized. The Mandalorian insisted. Because he insisted Grogu insisted that Din Djarin be referred to as ‘The Mandalorian’ for the rest of the build. Not Mando. Not Dad. Not ‘You There’. Nope. The Mandalorian. Uff. It’s annoying when the two of them fight. Zeb just laughed.
Grogu is wearing a Christmas themed suit with a white shirt and red tie. On the table top next to him the ship can be seen in front of the LEGO Box. The LAST BAG! BAG 8! It’s almost over! The work is paying off! The time is slipping by and soon, soon, the fun will be complete. Oh, uh, Grogu means the ship will be complete. Yes, the ship! Three cheers for the Razor Crest! What? It’s not done yet? We can cheer when it happens? Be right back.

Uh oh. How did that happen? Grogu didn’t do it. He knows that his dad doesn’t like to see the parts in a big, messy, not organized pile, even if the parts are large, easy to identify, hard to get mixed up with each other (you know what Grogu means). Hmmm. Maybe the dog did it? Somehow... #STARWARS

You can learn a lot looking at a clear plastic bag, particularly if it’s marked with a ‘7’. It stands for ‘Almost Done!’. Yippee. Oh, you can also see some tell tale pieces of the engines. It’s about time. This ship needs some power! More power! Where's the Sith that said that? Go find them!

Yippee! It looks like a ship! A ship that can contain an atmosphere and keep them warm and not allow spiders of any size to crawl around in it! Thanks to Zeb! He’s the best. He knew exactly where every part was supposed to go and did all the heavy lifting. Anyway, the ship is looking great, right?

Zeb! Zeb Orrelious! Where have you been?! Hasn't Ezra been missing you? Wow. Plus, look! The ship has a canopy! We'll be able to fly it soon! Ok, ok, right now it's all still parts and someone has to build it, but Zeb should be able to give us a hand. Or maybe @emanesfandi could stop by and help.

Here it is. Bag 6. Six bags. Not done yet. Still more to go. Wow. So many parts, pieces, bricks. Good thing Grogu doesn't have to build the actual full-sized ready to use Razor Crest. Makes him wonder how his dad ever got them off that ice ball planet Maldo Kreis. That poor ship needed so much work

Hmmm. No wonder the Mandalorian was so fussy about bag 5. It was the forward mounted weapons. Got to be careful with those Grogu! Uff. Well, he was careful and it’s built and they look… like forward mounted weapons. Where are the engines? Where are the wings? Where is Zeb? #THEMANDALORIANANDGROGU

Mando said that the layout was ‘acceptable’. I gather that’s pretty high praise as far as Mandalorians go, but Grogu was a bit disappointed. He told his dad that he can layout the next bag and see just how easy it is to do when you can’t use the Force and you put down one piece you step on another!

Look! It’s Bag 5! That’s so exciting! Grogu can barely contain himself! So many things can happen with this bag. So many adventures can start based on what he finds in there. So many pieces… to lay out all neat and tidy because his dad said no more tossing them on the table. Well that’s the Way.

Bag 3… Umm, Grogu can explain. Sometimes you’re just so excited to see the parts, you use the Force to help open the bag. Anyway, not that it matters, but here are the parts and they are fine, just fine. His dad said something about never getting him another building kit if he wasn’t more careful…

That's bag 2 all laid out. Yes, Grogu took a photo of bag 2. No, he's not posting it. He says it's boring. It is kind of boring, but the parts are pretty cool. Including, if you have sharp eyes or access to the Force, a small greenish person of the adorable persuasion. Can't wait to build it!

Grogu just had to sit down for a moment after he completed bag 1 of the build. It doesn't look like much at this stage, but... He has a new Mando to add to the family, plus a stormtrooper? This one has a very detailed helmet, but Grogu's pretty sure it won't help them improve their aim. IFYKYK.

“You! What are you doing here?!”

Apparently Floss Plumestriker remembered the Mandalorian, which wasn’t really that strange. The armor was pretty striking and even the strange, ‘friendly’ voice didn’t change the fact that Grogu’s dad had pretty definitively stopped the two men from messing around on Zoh. Grogu hadn’t expected Plumestriker to wearing a floral house dress with some sort of clogs. It was nothing like an Imperial uniform.

“I came here to find my son’s packages that you seem to have taken possession of. This doesn’t have to be anything other than a simple delivery mistake for the sake of your daughter and my son.”

Wow. It was like the Mandalorian had taken diplomacy lessons without telling Grogu about it.

“How do you know about my daughter? You leave her out of this!”

Plumestriker took a step forward and brandished a sponge at Grogu’s dad. Grogu would have laughed when he noticed the suds that had been on the sponge splat on the middle of his dad’s cuirass, under normal circumstances, but these were anything but normal. Din Djarin would be fussing over the spots that caused for days.

“Listen, FLOSS, I am happy to leave her out of this if you just return the package that you or your pal there took. Grogu earned the money for that kit and he wanted to share it with his friends, including your daughter. So just give it back and we’ll be on our way.”

Grogu would have looked at Plumestriker, but two other things happened at that moment. First, Durpin began to groan and hold his head and Penny came running it to the room holding a tiny figure of a Jedi. Being a well trained Jedi Grogu immediately trotted over to his friend to make sure that she was okay, rather than help her dad to his feet, because both his dad and Floss Plumestriker were doing that with differing effects.

The next part has dropped (#17 if you are keeping track). Grogu has just about had it! What the heck is going on? Read about it here: archiveofourown.org/works/768796... Something Else! (TM)
Hot Toys new life sized Grogu figure (available through Sideshow). Grogu holds his Mandalorian rondel in one hand, while holding a detonator in the other and wearing a small leather bag of holding.
“Hey! No one’s here! What the heck?”

Sub-Ensign Durpin looked right over Grogu and the package as he looked around for whoever knocked at the door.

Grogu cleared his throat loudly.

“What the heck! Who are you sneaking up on me like that?”

Startled and obviously a bit frightened the older human screeched at Grogu like a Mandalorian shriek hawk.

“Delivery.”

Grogu hated using a precious word of Gal Basic on a person like Durpin, but he needed to give his dad a chance to arrive.

“Delivery? Good! About time. You’re not the regular kid. What happened to him?”

There was a whooshing sound and Durpin made a sound a lot like gargling as the Mandalorian appeared and grabbed him by his collar.

“The kid had better things to do. Now you can explain why you stole my son’s package and had this one redirected.”

Durpin answered the Mandalorian’s question with more of that gargling sound and that’s when Grogu noticed that the former Imp’s feet weren’t actually touching the ground. He tapped his dad’s thigh protector and the Mandalorian let the other man go. Durpin crumpled on to the ground.
“Riard? I told you I was busy with Penny!”

A voice called from the interior of the cabin.

Uh oh. Plumestriker sounded like he was headed their way.

Grogu tapped his dad again. He didn’t want anything bad to happen to Penny.

“Come quick! I think your friend fainted!”

Grogu almost began to laugh. He had no idea that the Mandalorian had a ‘friendly’ voice that he could use when tricking people.

“Not again!”

Not again? What did that mean?

To be continued…

Part 16.

The trip down the path to Penny’s house was necessarily quiet. The Mandalorian didn’t want to give their position away and Grogu wanted a chance to think without interruption. He found it impossible to believe that Penny was actually involved in any of the nonsense, but he could well believe that Durpin and his side kick Plumestriker had done something that foolish.

When they had sort of met the two ex-Imps it was pretty clear that they were more interested in running away from everyone and everything than fighting on behalf of an Empire that no longer existed. Yes, there were still warlords who thought they should be able to act as if they either still lived within an Imperial structured galaxy or who just wanted to boss everyone else around and hang the blame on the old Empire. Those two didn’t seem like that type.

But why would they go to Nevarro of all places? And why pretend to be Mandalorians? Eventually a real Mandalorian would figure it out and then they would be in a lot of trouble. No matter how they followed the Creed, the people who took pride in their beskar armor did not suffer the fools who stole the stuff gladly. Grogu would have to keep a good eye on his dad. He liked Penny too much to let his dad bring the person she called dad in ‘cold’.

“Okay, Buddy. Here we are. I’d like you to bring this package to the cabin door and knock on it and see who opens the door. I don’t want to frighten your friend and I don’t want Durpin to panic either.”

His dad was whispering and Grogu listened carefully and nodded when his dad paused. He had hoped the Mandalorian would want to do things that way, because he didn’t want Penny hurt, or her dad, no matter how annoying this whole stealing packages thing had become to him. He just wanted to go easy peasy.

Part 15.

It didn’t take long to fix the kid’s cart, take possession of the package and send the kid back to where they belonged. They were pretty happy to go and told the Mandalorian that he could scare the snot out of them any time as long as he tipped well.

Grogu had laughed long and loud at that. He tried to explain that being frightened like that got old after a while, but the kid was already on their way back to the delivery station. They said they had a lot more work to do and doubted that anyone else would tip so well that day. At least that worked out well.

“Okay, Buddy, I don’t know any Mando with a child named Penny. They could be hiding in Mandalorian armor. One way or the other we have to sort that out.”

Grogu nodded his head. It hadn’t occurred to him that anyone would be foolish enough to pretend to be a Mandalorian when so many real ones were on Nevarro. Of course, that might be why they were hiding in Mandalorian armor. With so many Mandalorians walking around who wanted to challenge any of them? No one. The regular citizens didn’t want to get in trouble with the people who saved them from the pirates and the old and new school Mandos didn’t want to get a lecture from the Armorer or Bo-Katan about being accepting of different ways. Only his dad seemed to be immune to that sort of fear.

“Now, what clan did you say your friend belonged to?”

Grogu signed the name slowly. He knew he couldn’t say it and have his dad understand him.

“Durpin? Not that guy again!”

What?!

Grogu shook his head and spelled the name out again. He took more time and listened to his dad say each one out loud.

“Purdin? You know that’s Durpin with two letters swapped, right? Given all the other ex-Imps who managed to get away from the New Republic, it’s just possible this guy did too.”

Grogu sighed. It was possible, but was it likely? Why go to Nevarro of all places? Why not go some place he could blend in? Like Coruscant?

“Waddaya wanna know?”

The kid asked as soon as he could catch his breath. A stationary panic was a tough thing to overcome.

“Did you deliver another package, like this one, to the same place you’re headed now, a day or two ago?”

Ah, good question. No point in asking a bunch of other questions if this wasn’t the person who took the original package.

“Yes. I was originally supposed to deliver it to you, but some other Mando, Penny’s dad I guess, caught up with me on my trip, the stupid cart broke down then too, and said he’d take it the rest of the way. He even gave me a tip.”

Grogu heard a subtle shift in tone which reminded him that they hadn’t ever sorted things out from the last time the kid made a delivery to their cabin.

“I see. How much of a tip?”

What? Why did the Mandalorian care about that? Now they had the information they really needed.

“Not much. Just an extra credit, but it goes a long way to making life better for my granny.”

Ahh. Well. That was good to know. Of course the kid sounded just like Ian trying to trick a street vendor into giving them an extra pack of sweet crumbles.

“I see.”

The Mandalorian reached into his pocket and pulled out a five credit chip and handed it to the kid.

“This for the time we forgot to leave you a tip. I’m sorry about that. Now, let’s get that cart of your’s sorted out and Grogu and I will take this package to Penny and her dad.”

Grogu was pretty sure that he could have knocked the kid over with a well aimed breath, they were so surprised at the Mandalorian’s generosity. Well, a bounty hunter did whatever it took to complete their mission and Grogu was pretty sure that his plan was now his dad’s plan, which felt like a good thing. He wasn’t much for threatening people or looking scary.

Part 13.

Din Djarin really did know how to make an entrance. Grogu wasn’t sure that his hearing in his right ear was ever going to be quite the same. The delivery kid hit notes and sound levels that Grogu had thought were purely hypothetical. He learned something new that day.

“Is this the person who stole your package?”

His dad was talking to him, but Grogu’s eyes were riveted to the person he’d been prepared to help. The kid seemed to be stamping their feet and trying to run but nothing was happening. Grogu hoped they were having a medical emergency of some sort.

“Grogu. Let ‘em go.”

His dad’s voice was softer and less menacing sounding but Grogu had no idea what the Mandalorian was talking about. He wasn’t holding the kid back using the Force. He was just watching them have some sort of stationary panic attack.

Grogu looked over his shoulder and shrugged at his dad, with his palms turned up on both hands. It was his signal that he wasn’t using the Force.

“Ahhh. All right, young man. No one is going to hurt you. I just have some questions for you and then you can go your way.”

The kid practically slumped to the ground, but instead hugged the cart, his breathing labored. Grogu was impressed with how his dad had done that. Maybe Din Djarin could work with the Force and just didn’t know it?

Part 12.

“Hey! Who are you?”

The kid sounded a little scared and little angry. Grogu didn’t blame him. It couldn’t have been fun to have that cart break down in the middle of no where.

“Friend.”

There. Grogu used one word of Gal Basic just to prove he could.

“Who’s friend? Penny’s? I have to bring this box to her place, but I can’t with this cart of mine being about as useful as a Hutt at school dance.”

Grogu laughed a little at the image that provoked. He’d seen dancing somewhere. Probably Chandrila. Hutts weren’t graceful under the best of conditions. How they would handle a dance? There was no telling.

Grogu nodded his head.

“Oh. You know Penny? Maybe you could do me a favor and deliver this box. Her dad’s trying to surprise her with it, but he’s not exactly friendly if you get my drift. He was super specific that the address on the package was just a trick and it was still supposed to go to his cabin. The boss didn’t care so here I am. Stuck.”

Grogu turned to R5 and chirped at the droid and told it to check on the repulser units in the cart. Chances were good that the battery pack had become disconnected or something like that or just needed a charge. R5 could handle that.

The droid whistled back and beeped, but stopped arguing and began to trundle forward. Grogu was glad that the mech wasn’t just running away and hiding. It had a long, long history of near misses, accidents, and partial dismantlings that made it cautious in the extreme.

“Hey! What’s that droid doing?”

The kid walked over to Grogu holding the package. It was clear to Grogu that the address on the label was for his cabin and not Penny’s. Why was Penny’s dad doing something that mean? Stealing something meant for one of his daughter’s friends wasn’t exactly friendly. Penny was a good kid. She wouldn’t like that her dad had done that. Uff.

Grogu chirped a couple of comments at the kid standing next to him and signed that R5 was going to fix the cart.

“Oh. Why didn’t you say so?!"

Part 11.

Grogu quickly gave R5 instructions on what to say to the Mandalorian and then told him to send the message immediately. R5 got part of that right. It opened a channel to Grogu’s dad and Grogu had to explain to the bounty hunter what he saw and what he was going to do about it. Then he clicked ‘terminate’ before his dad could reply with a bunch of orders. They had already discussed things and Grogu wanted to follow his plan, not his dad’s worries, concerns, and or updated analyses. He was tired of waiting.

On his way down from his observation post he gave R5 explicit instructions on what to do when the Mandalorian tried to open a channel. Grogu knew his dad wasn’t going to be happy about being cut off, but the Mandalorian had done that to him more than once and under like circumstances. If Grogu was ever going to be allowed to be an independent person he needed to start acting like one. More or less.

R5, for their part, was chirping softly and whistling in those tones that expressed sorrow, concern, and caution. What if they fell in a hole? What if the kid was just waiting around the bend for them? What if the person who took the original package was waiting for them to pop into view and began to attack them? (That almost made Grogu laugh because if that person was a stormtrooper the chances of them missing out weighed the chances of them hitting anything by too many orders of magnitude to count.)

Grogu replied to R5 the way all of his Jedi instructors had instructed him to so long ago.
Use the Force.
It was as simple as that. Whatever happened next Grogu was certain that he could use the Force.

Until they caught up to the delivery vehicle and its annoyed operator. R5 had missed a scenario. ‘What if the delivery cart broke down and Grogu was the only person who could fix it for klicks and they never really found out who took the package because the kid didn’t want to tell them?’

Because of course, that’s the one that happened...

Grogu had forgotten how boring waiting was. It wasn’t just dull it was exhausting. You were primed for something to happen and then nothing happened. But you couldn’t let down your guard and you couldn’t occupy yourself with other activities. His dad told him once that it was his favorite part about being a bounty hunter. But then Din Djarin had never spent quality time with a best friend who seemed to embody impatience as much as mischief. Once Ian was your best friend, just sitting in place doing nothing wasn’t even as useful as meditation, but it was necessary.

Grogu still wanted to have the party he had intended to host and this was the path to that party so he was going to stick to it come … a skinny kid on small cart. The repulsers must have been failing because it was going slow and it was making a lot of noise. He could see quite clearly that it was the same person they had zoomed by several weeks before. He could also see quite clearly that the cart had a package on it. Yippee!

The next minute would make all the difference. If the kid took the path to the east, then the package was going to end up at the cabin and his dad would have a chance to talk to them about the prior delivery. If the kid took the path to the south, well, Grogu would be following them and he would have R5 relay that information to the Mandalorian. With any luck they’d find the other package there and figure out why anyone wanted to be so mean to them in the first place.

Tick, tick, tick. Grogu turned to R5 and asked the mech to cut it out with the sound effects. His own heart was beating loud enough for him to hear it any way. Grogu maintained his focus and watched as the kid checked their delivery instructions again, or at least Grogu presumed that’s what they were doing when they brought up a data pad and looked at it for almost a full minute. The kid put it away and… they turned … to… the… south!

Yipee! Sort of.

That's right! Grogu went to the Oscars and got to hang out with some very nice people. The latest part of Something Else! (TM) has dropped. Read it here: archiveofourown.org/works/768796... Grogu waving to Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver at the 2026 Oscar's, while Kate Hudson keeps him company.
Part 9.

Grogu laughed to himself as he and R5 trundled down the path to Nevarro City. R5 was the ultimate arbiter of risk and since the astro-mech put up no resistance to following Grogu’s plan, the risk profile must have been as close to zero as it was possible to be.

Of course, that wasn’t great either. Grogu expected there to be some risk. If it was zero then he likely had made a mistake and this wouldn’t work at all. R5 liked it when that sort of thing happened. Fewer parts change outs when a plan just didn’t get off the ground at all.

But, if Grogu was right, they would discover who took the original package and they might just find out where it was. While knowing why people did what they did mattered in the long run, in the short term, knowing where the package was made it that much easier to retrieve and for the party to continue as planned.

And that made Grogu consider his dad’s thoughts on the whole mess. Who knew about the plan? Just the kids he’d invited and their parents because Grogu expected that they needed permission to go to the cabin. They weren’t exactly on main street Nevarro City (which didn’t have a main street anyway, it had a First street and a Second street and a … you understand). But would any of the parents want to spoil the event? At the risk of making a Mandalorian annoyed with them? Only one of the other kids had a Mandalorian parent and Grogu had only met them once. The girl, Penny, was nice, but her dad belonged to clan Purdin, which Grogu had never heard of, but then he hadn’t actually heard of or read about every Mandalorian clan either. Purdin was possible, right?

At least they were getting closer to solving the problem. That was a good thing.

Part 8.

With his dad hovering over his shoulder like a Mandalorian Shriek Hawk, Grogu placed the new order and added the necessary details. He hoped his trap would work. He really didn’t want to cancel the party and he also didn’t want to hold it without having something else special for the group to enjoy. Grogu wondered while they waited for the order to process if it was his imagination that made it feel like his helmet wearing Mandalorian dad was literally breathing down his neck or if it was just his Jedi senses telling him that’s what Din Djarin would have been doing without a helmet on. Either way it was annoying.

“Okay, Buddy. They’ve sent the order to the shipping company. What next?”

Grogu described what he wanted his dad and R5 to do. The Mandalorian would stay at the cabin while R5 transported Grogu to the halfway point between the cabin and Nevarro City. They would watch for the delivery person from higher ground and let the bounty hunter know when the delivery person went by them on their small cart. Then Grogu and R5 would follow them from a safe distance and see if they went off the expected path. If they did, they’d follow and let the Mandalorian know to meet them. If not, Din Djarin would just have to be his charming self and keep the delivery person there until Grogu arrived with R5.

“Why the halfway point? We should have ordered it just outside the shipping company’s location. Then we could follow the whole path.”

Grogu sighed. He touched some of the controls on his dad’s vambrace and a projection of Nevarro City and environs flashed into existence. Their cabin was in a good, scenic, private location. Almost no one lived between them and Nevarro City. Almost no one…

“Got it. Good thinking. Let’s get you and R5 on your way. Don’t take any risks…”

Grogu was already trotting out of the cabin when his dad was giving him that advice. It was a silly thing to say to a Jedi-Mandalorian. His whole life was filled with risk.

“Grogu, I don’t think we should jump to any conclusions. We need to do our research first.”

Din ‘I’ve got a gut feel about this’ Djarin doesn’t want to jump to conclusions? Did Grogu just leave his galaxy and enter some sort of multi-verse? He explained his thoughts again. Slower and with pauses to help his dad follow along.

“Okay. You want to interview the person… the kid… who didn’t fail to deliver your last package because?”

Grogu sighed. He thought it would be obvious to his dad. There weren’t that many people who delivered packages from Nevarro City. They both knew one who did and that person had sworn they wouldn’t come back because of the whole no tipping thing. Maybe they knew who ended being assigned the packages they would no longer deliver… or had decided to see what was being delivered and decided they could have some fun at the Mandalorian’s expense. That seemed pretty obvious to him. He signed the rest of the information to his dad while also chirping and grumbling to emphasize certain points.

“You think that kid knows who did this? Fine. But just because they might know who it is that doesn’t mean they’ll tell me.”

Grogu sighed again, again. He explained.

“Oh, you think they’ll tell you because you’re so lovable? Hmmm… that might just work. You can blame it all on me and build some trust with them and hopefully they’ll blab. But how do propose to find them?”

Grogu hoped his dad would like this idea. It was a risk, but he thought it was worthy. He quickly outlined his plan.

“You want to order another surprise package and get extra fast delivery and promise them a big tip? Who do you think we’re dealing with here? Gamorreans or Hutts?”

“Imps!”
After all, Gamorreans were too smart to make a Mandalorian angry, and no Hutt wanted to deal with Din Djarin again. That left Imp remnants and Grogu liked those odds.

“Fine. Let’s do it.”

Grogu hated the idea of cancelling the party because someone else was being cruel. That just wasn’t right. He also hated to think that his friends might get sucked into the mess and get hurt. No one wanted that to happen. Maybe they could figure everything out before the party and still have it? Or at least wait until that morning to let people know it was cancelled? No one he invited was coming from far away. He’d only invited some of the kids he’d met at the school that one time he was left there so his dad could go off and help Cara Dune and Greef Karga (that’s High Magistrate Greef Karga to you).

That day at the school hadn’t actually been very fun and he hadn’t seen those kids for a long time after he left with that package of sweet crisps. But once they were back on Nevarro for more than refueling, he’d met a couple of the kids at the local market and, with his dad’s permission, bought them all frozen treats to make up for taking all the sweet crisps that one time. After that, they were all friends. They visited each other. When critter hunting so they could take vids. Did random chores for neighbors who hadn’t really gotten the hang of Nevarro yet. Generally they just got together and had a good time.

That’s exactly why Grogu had decided to host a party and include a special something in the form of a surprise that they could all have fun with together. He’d realized that all the kids didn’t like frogs and dung worms as much as he did so he’d taken the time to figure out something they all had in common and would have fun doing together. Now, some mean spirited nerf herder had spoiled that! And not just for him, but for all of them!

How the heck had anyone figured out what was in that package? It didn’t even have a proper return address. To know what was in it you either had to be the manufacturer or a person who just happened to get their hands on the package first and open it…

Wow is Grogu angry! What the heck happened? Read the next part of the story, Something Else (TM) here: archiveofourown.org/works/768796... #STARWARS Hand drawn sketch of Grogu by me.
Grogu wondered how Mandalorians ever managed to get anything done as a group given how poorly his dad was doing at receiving a simple message. Grogu tried again.

“You ordered something as a surprise for everyone else?”

Din Djarin seemed shocked at the concept. Of course the only surprises he liked were the looks on the Imps’ faces when he showed up to destroy their installation (which should have been long gone already). Grogu liked to make that happen by flipping their helmets off with the Force. He almost flipped his dad’s helmet off once. That was not a surprise that the Mandalorian liked in anyway, shape, or form.

Grogu nodded his head.

“Is it for that get together you have planned with your friends?”

Grogu nodded his head again.

“Who did you tell about the get together?”

Huh? Why did that matter? None of those people would want to ruin…

“Grogu, they may have talked to someone else who bears a grudge against you.”

Oh. Hmmm. That sort of thing didn’t usually happen to Grogu now that Moff Gideon was long gone. It did, however, happen to Din Djarin fairly regularly. It wasn’t really the Mandalorian’s fault. He was just abrupt and not entirely polite and often in a hurry and most people didn’t like being treated like they were one wrong word from being brought in cold.

Grogu began to sign that he hadn’t told his friends about the package at all and they were just coming to visit him to play games and eat whatever food the Mandalorian planned on making for them. None of them even knew about the surprise because it was a surprise!

“I still need their names. I don’t want them to get caught up in this mess. You’re gonna have to cancel the party.”

WHAT?!
