National Climate Assessment Authors Are Dismissed by Trump Administration (Gift Article)
The Trump administration told researchers it was “releasing” them from their roles. It puts the future of the assessment, which is required by Congress, in doubt.

This administration plans to eliminate NOAA Research, which costs every American citizen less than a cup of coffee a year. Do you like knowing the weather forecast? Being warned of hurricanes, wildfires, tsunamis? It will all go away if the public does not act. www.ametsoc.org/ams/about-am...

The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Resistance is alive and well in the United States
Protests of Trump may not look like the mass marches in 2017, but they're far more numerous and frequent — and also becoming more strategic.

We are Americans. We’re the most powerful nation on the planet. What defines us is not our power to dominate the weak. What demonstrates our character is not our capacity to traumatize the afflicted. What speaks our truth is not how we taunt, deride or belittle the embattled, broken or battered.

Remember what I said about paying attention to what your state is up to regarding vaccines? Montana is about to ban mRNA vaccines. A local family physician egregiously lied and said, “mRNA vaccines are the most destructive and lethal medical products that have ever been used in medical history”.

Do you remember that time Pence tried to see Hamilton and the cast called him out. Or when McConnell was chased out of a resraurant and not allowed a peaceful meal. Or when Cruz abandoned Texas during the deep freeze and we shamed him into going home. That. Do that.

The cut to Indirect Costs is marketed as funding the scientists, not bureaucracy. But indirects support core facilities, waste disposal, building maintenance... Would you get more done at home if no one repaired your furnace or collected your trash? Don't be fooled - this will devastate research.
