Sadly, the Democrats been de facto enablers of fascists for a very long time. Examples include Bill Clinton’s “3 Strikes” and nearly the entire Party lining up behind Bush after 9-11. Far too many more to list

The idea there is an “ideological center” is a myth. When the George H W Bush (“kinder, gentler) lost to Bill Clinton (3 Strikes your out) it started their drive toward what we gave now-a political party that is about to align our country with the most anti-human dictators in the world. 2/3

We need far more than Elias’ 5 points. We need a unifying ideology that excites. His “Big Tent” idea precludes that. We already see “centrists” normalizing Trump and fascism. The is no political center. Liberals need to “Stand Back and Stand By”. Progressivism will never normalize fascism.
