“… And then Jax reconciles with Pomni at the end of this chapter, right?” *me quietly adding 2 more chapters to the expected length of this thing* “… Right????” =T Enjoy!! <333 #tadc #funnybunny #jaxpom #ragatha archiveofourown.org/works/782967...

Mutually Assured Destruction
By StarlitVesper

Chapter 12: Broken Heart Syndrome

Summary:

Pomni finally hits a breaking point with Jax, who suddenly has to figure out who he is without her and how the hell he’s going to repair all the relationships he’s damaged over the years all by himself.

If they’re even still salvageable.

Also hey what if Ragatha actually got to work through some of her issues and shortcomings onscreen?? Maybe she can be exactly the sort of friend Jax needs right now.

This chapter is for everyone who'd been dying for some Jax & Ragatha bonding. And/or if you wanted to see Jax be a giant sobbing mess in her arms.
Notes:

This chapter clocks in at somewhere around 40+ pages and I've been editing it to death for weeks and that only made it longer .-.

This sounds made up but I was seriously scouring my bed this morning for Jax’s bow and couldn’t find it. Made my bed, went to grab breakfast, and when I walked back in I finally saw it 🤦 Ribbit. You greedy bitch. You don’t need both of them!!! 🎀 You’re making Jax CRY omfg …

Messy sketches I’ll clean up later — Jax isn’t sure if this is gonna be easier than expected, or harder because she’s gonna have to be vulnerable with Gangle for once. #tadc #TheAmazingDigitalCircus

Doing Gangle next bc that one is gonna be the longest — they’ve gotta have a whole ass conversation about it. And I’d like to have Gangle give Jax her new name, so maybe I’ll finally reveal what I think she’d end up going by 🫣 (Also a good excuse to finally draw the rest of the cast) #tadc

Y’all seemed interested in Jax backsliding & this chapter is a perfect example of how healing is non-linear & sometimes you blow everything up just bc safety doesn’t feel safe when you’ve only ever known danger ⚠️CW: SH archiveofourown.org/works/782967... #tadc #funnybunny #tadcFic #jaxpom

So I’m working on a post-Ep9 de-abstraction fic! At first I had no clue where to begin w/ this one, so here’s my initial “proof of concept” scene that i used to get a feel for the direction i wanted this to go. It may or may not make it into the final fic #tadc #funnybunny #jaxpom #tadcfic

Falling apart before things get better❤️‍🩹 I fw the idea that it take a bit before they figure out how to de-abstract ppl & in the meantime Pomni is sleeping in the tent, isolating, joining the group for adventures less & less, hoping she’ll abstract too #tadc #funnybunny #jaxpom

Giving Pomni an exorcism 🧿 She’s gonna be a bootleg unicorn Pomni after this! I’ll try to post an actual guide for how I end up doing this. The TikTok vid I got the basics from doesn’t really show all the steps?? She’s gonna be kinda janky but I’ll love her regardless <33 #tadc #pombubu

Jax: “Wow she fell asleep mid sentence — I guess she doesn’t really care. Does she want me to be sad?? No she probably just thinks everything I’m worried about is stupid … I suck.” Pomni: [falls asleep bc she feels comfortable & safe] 🙃🫠 #funnybunny #tadc #jaxpom #pomniXjax #jaxXpomni

I’ve found that people who have never been called cute/pretty/gorgeous before are really delighted when you call them those things 💖 Pomni’s bad at flirting but she nailed this one at least x3 #tadc #funnybunny #jaxpom #jaxXpomni #pomniXjax

The rest of this set of sketches is probably too suggestive for this account, but sloppy makeouts is totally fine 💚 I am enjoying Jax being fluffy. He’d probably be really comforting in a tactile way ~ #funnybunny #jaxpom #pomniXjax #jaxXpomni

I have an alarm that’s just labeled “O” for 8:24am. It’s the only one that isn’t at a minute interval divisible by 5. No idea why. But I’ve been using it and damn if I’m not conscious by 8:24am 🤷

I’ve been wicked depressed and it’s making art/writing kinda impossible so I’m just gonna give all my feelings to Jax for this next chapter ,,,, hope you guys like really angsty #funnybunny >_>;;; (This is REALLY unpolished I’ve done zero editing 💀)
