He’s seeing the vet in the morning. We were told he for sure had structure crystals in his urine. He had an ultrasound and xray done and his vet was sure that what showed up was a mass or POTENTIALLY a massive blood clot. Now I’m wondering. Thank you JoJo

He’s in or isn’t in cuz of him being paralyzed but he’s acting mostly normal. Today is a harder day but it’s hard to measure that too because I did give him trazadone today because storms were potentially coming and he’s so scared of storms lol. But yeah, that’s all.

Anyone’s fault for not catching it because how could we unless we did very regularly ultrasounds and X-rays which frankly we just don’t have that $200 a pop lying around. So it’s just a very rough time contemplating back and forth on what to do. We have no way of knowing how much discomfort-

I take him to the emergency vet that afternoon and get him on antibiotics and a special urinary care diet. 2 weeks pass and there’s little improvement but his energy/appetite is still normal. I ask for a follow up appointment which was last Monday. The vet runs a couple of tests-

Diet to help break down those crystals so they don’t become bladder stones. Other than the concerning amount of blood in his urine he isn’t in distress, his energy levels are normal (for an 11 year old) and his appetite is as strong as ever!
