I was setting up for some quiet time in my room with my crochet when my 8yo popped in and then RAN to get her project to join me. We sat in my bed and crocheted for over an hour together and it was ✨wonderful✨ (Look! She’s really getting the hang of it!)

The city has been replacing parts of the sidewalk through our neighborhood. All the equipment, dirt and noise has been one thing, but today they are finally pouring the new concrete and something about the acoustics of this moment make it sound like the workers are standing IN my house.
