Tonight I kicked off my annual spooky month of werewolf movies with 1985's Silver Bullet. I had actually never seen this one before, and I thought it was pretty okay. The werewolf design was better than I expected, and the characters had a very King feel.

I'd love to see one in real life. Maybe I've been close without realizing. They have very good camouflage, and their defense mechanism is apparently just sitting still on the forest floor. Works for humans, but sadly not on cats, which is part of why they're a species of concern around here. :<

I also saw the movie with a couple weeks of finishing the book, and I think that contributed to the rushed feeling. As you said, the book did it very well, so the course comparison amplifies the difference. My friend who hadn't read it didn't notice anything.

I got a show from the plane as the sun set on another Anthrocon. The con was wonderful, despite the weather. I'm glad I got to meet so many folks in suit, and I'm happy I got to spend time with many fuzzies I hold dear to me. I also loved the mini con we got to have in the airport on the way out.

Yeah, it was acting like it did before my redesign. I got the solder bridge fixed, and now the power section seems to be working. But it won't charge. So I've either got another design flaw, fried something with the short, or burned up the MOSFET with the soldering iron.
