3. Content creation seems to favour versatility, which is a double edged sword. It both encourages creativity, advertising your work from new angles and also wants you to follow what is viral without conforming TOO much.

010

bug @bugtattoos.bsky.social · 03/05/2025

2. Making content that gets traction requires you to plan relatability and engagement, for me this feels dishonest. I’d rather connect at work in person in a genuine way, as two people who both want to be there! Over seeking connection out to gather more views, likes, follows and comments.

1. Content creation for business success is a shitty dynamic. Algorithm’s priorities are seen as altruistic instead of unfair. Based on desirability metrics, quality of equiptment, conformity to trends etc.

Ive been working on making content for the doom scrolls lately. It’s getting me new followers which is wonderful. Here are some of my observations so far:

Some minature “old school,” inspired flash! Wanted to play around with a different style. All currently available, once off designs.

Flash sheet titled mini vintage flash labeled 200 dollars each under 3 point 5 inches shows from left to right top to bottom a rose with sparkles and leaves a bird flying with a shooting star in her beak two black cherries a puffy kitten head an HRT bottle with sparkles and a shiny sparkly lipstick

Been thinking of illustrating large concepts that can be inspiration for freehand pieces that span big areas of the body or wind thru other tattoos like plants, water, chains, abstract motifs etc

scrolling through instagram today i realized targeted ads pop up every couple posts — i feel bad trying to reach clients thru such a high level of mind fracking & also validated in the feeling of absurdity in failing to appease algorithm on such a dystopic platform

More meditations on a theme, all available flash 😎

Three black and white shaded drawings of available tattoo flash. The top one is a single tail whip, with its end wrapped in two coils and secured by the fall. The second, on the bottom left, is a flogger with thick tails, sweeping out from the handle in an arch. The third, on the bottom right, is a coiled belt, wrapped around itself with the buckle sitting on top.
