my piece for the Riptide Raiders OC Zine! Boyfriend is an eternal temp at the Splatsville Temp Office, and landed a gig as a helicopter pilot at a pretty bad time... #oc

a piece showing a hand-woven carabiner on the left and a drawing of Bugs' oc Boyfriend on the right. text from left-down to right-down reads: Cherished Hand-Woven keyring, Big Man made himself a keyring early on to make sure he didn't lose anything important. funnily enough, it was the keyring that went missing, not nay of his valuables...strange. ...oh well, he can always just make another one! BOYFRIEND, the "handy-man". an eternal temp worker who landed a gig as a helicopter pilot at an unfortunate time. being "the mechanic" is the longest time he's ever kept one job. though he may not look it, he's secretly a deep cut superfan. he would rather die than have them find out, so he's been nervously tight-lipped for a while now... now he's too embarrassed to reveal he's not actually that cool. oops!

I'm extremely happy that Pop-LANtis was a big success — I've been hard at work all year to prepare it for Riptide. its important to me to support creatives who love Splatoon and to do my part to grow the competitive scene through our locals. I hope together we can continue to bridge the gap between

boyfriend doodle cos i be thinking about him #oc

bugs' Splatoon oc, Boyfriend, standing in an office. he is an inkling with punk hair wearing a muscle crop and low rise pants with a whale tail. someone at a desk is holding up his ID, which has a hole where the photo should be that frames boyfriend's face. big letters at the bottom of the drawing read "THE TEMP"

my Pokemon ocs that i love and adore and need to draw more often

art of Bugs' two Pokemon ocs, Buzz and Rufus (Ruff), embracing each other. both have text next to them giving short details about them. Buzz's read: younger twin (4 min), training to be a gym leader, biker, hates dating. Ruff's read: older twin, high-rank global ranger, pilot (hobby), has a BF. Buzz is looking off to the side moodily while Ruff is smiling at the camera

✧ BUGSLAP‼️ ✧ @bugslap.com · 03/09/2026

i will set up the profile embedding for you upon purchase! im considering having people fill out a form or submit a ticket for pickup if lines get crazy. it's changeable with any nfc writing tool, but I'm also working with Sendou on possibly making every card a permalink instead of username based

110

✧ BUGSLAP‼️ ✧ @bugslap.com · 03/09/2026

yeah it does, any phone that has nfc! basically if your phone can do tap to pay it'll likely work

020

✧ BUGSLAP‼️ ✧ @bugslap.com · 03/09/2026

a combination of going to LANs and seeing people try to trade sendou information through spelling/looking at each other's screens, and seeing the rise of nfc in artist alley spaces as a business card companion/replacement. it took a lot of trial and error but I'm so glad i stuck with it LOL
