🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Trad Wife - Saratoga Schaefer - 3.5/5 This book isn't....bad. But I felt like it fell flat with how much people were saying it was "so fucked up". The MC is just...sad? I wanted her to have a different ending even though it wasn't the worst option. I love you demon baby though. 000
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Our Wives Under the Sea - Julia Armfield - 4.5/5 I started pride month with this book which was a STUPID choice. This book is so loving and well written, I felt hollow after finishing it. I loved the whole thing and read it in one sitting. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Geek Love - Katherine Dunn - 5/5 THIS is the book of the year for me. I LOVE this book. It has it all: depraved, disgusting, evil, disturbed family dynamics, a circus. This book is so good I think everyone who likes weird/evil books should read it. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Bad Fruit - Ella King - 4.25/5 The writer created such an interesting character with Mama. You can tell that we're supposed to understand why she is like that, but I never felt bad for her. The MC and her siblings feel very real and the writing kept me in the whole time. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026All 3 vol of MADK - 4/5 Friend got me to read this manga, I love yucky yaoi like this. The visuals are great, everyone's evil which is just what I want. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Detransition, Baby - Torrey Peters - 5/5 Such a great book. One of the best I've ever read. I felt like I was hit by a truck several times by the end, but I love that in a story. The writing is beautiful, the characters are so strongly written/conceived. I love this book so much. 110
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026The Troop - Nick Cutter - 4/5 I love an experiment gone wrong with dire consequences. I loved how gross this would get and how the boys treated each other. RIP scoutmaster 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Chlorine - Jade Song - 3.5/5 This book has such a good, interesting idea. I think the reason it isn't higher is due to how it's written. I think Ren is such an interesting mc and the way she thinks is great to dive into. The body horror is great, I wish it had been hidden before the end. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026The Stepford Wives - Ira Levin - 5/5 I can see why this book is a classic. Really great story about suburbia, domesticity being forced upon women, and the evil of men being friends! I had a great time with it and strongly recommend to anyone wanting to get back into reading. Also loved the 04 movie. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Tender is the Flesh - Agustina Bazterrica - 4/5 I really liked this book. The misogyny is a little heavy handed at times and can get in the way for me of a 5 star. The writing is really amazing and I again love a horrible mc in a book. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026The Body Harvest - MJ Seidlinger - 2/5 This book pmo so bad. The premise is so good and the first third is great. It takes a turn that is SO infuriating that I probably should have just quit. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Strange Pictures - Uketsu - 4.5/5 There were times reading this I was scared to turn the page bc the pictures scared me.....I love the multimedia aspect to this and thought it was great to watch the mystery unravel. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026The Sluts - Dennis Cooper - 5/5 This book is so good. I used to be really into books written in chatlogs, so I was so intrigued in this one. It's what I call an "evil book"m the writing is amazing and I loved that it was about cruel and unkind gay people. Amazinggggg book I adored. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Bury Your Gays - Chuck Tingle - 4/5 I think I'm going to revise the score on this one....it is pretty fun but at times felt like I was really pushing myself to finish it. The plot is fun! I'll give it that 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Tampa - Alissa Nutting - 5/5 This book is so gross and depraved. It's one of my favorites of the year, I could not put it down once I started. The mc is the worst person ever and it just felt like I was reading the worst possible thing get worse. Loved it, my most evil book of the year. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Middle of the night - Riley Sager - 4.25/5 Really good mystery that kept me pretty engaged the whole time. The slow parts are slow, but I think overall the way it was told and the mc's voice kept me in. 100
🖤⛓Roan⛓🖤 @bugroan.bsky.social · 14/06/2026Bunny - Mona Awad 4/5 This book is rly fun to read and was a rly good way to get back into regular reading for me. The writing is great and the characters are rly easy to get invested in. 100
