And then we come to the majestic Floofy. We don't know here age. Possibly 4. She was a feral that hung around our house for the last couple years. We slowly got her trust enough that she started having kittens on our stoop one cold night, and we brought them in ended up fostering them.

Next is Baby, (Real name Uhura, which I gave her but subsequently never called her, because every time I saw her i would just exclaim BABY!) who is 4 now, and mostly does her own thing. She often likes to go up.

So excited. This is the first kickstarter I ever backed, and the decks have arrived to the artist and are shipping starting next week. It is all painted with watercolors made with earth pigments from foraged rock, minerals, etc. Can't wait to try them.

Kind of an early birthday present. @winterlady1.bsky.social tricked me into talking about buying this again, so that we would. It's a very nice altar work table with a tree of life and Celtic-style knot-work design. The tree/roots are reversible for the season or intended energy. Pip approves.

When you find the ones with something like 1600 square feet of THIS, it's hard to leave. Especially when they have that one aisle with everything from Buddhism to Blavatsky mixed in for you to accidentally find a signed copy of The Book of The Glyph.

This Maple just keeps getting my kudos. Today it offers shelter to "Misty" at its base, and a vantage point for the little gray ghost kitty on its first branch. Anyone who helps care for the ferals is a friend to me.

A postentially scary peek into my mind. I often record quick demo song ideas in the voice memo app on my phone and forget about them. Then I listen months later and crack up. I found this potentially pretty song with twisted words. I blame listening to too much Tom Lehrer and Zappa in my youth.

A Royal Oak doctor and his wife were injured Sunday afternoon - the wife critically - when an intoxicated motorist drove his car through the front window of the Rialto Restaurant in Ferndale, police said.

A 31-year-old Detroit man was being held, Ferndale police said.

One witness, Charley Pappas, the co-owner of the Rialto on Woodward near Nine Mile, said the motorist was traveling south on Woodward at about 3 p.m.

"He was intoxicated," Pappas said. "He crossed the center parking lot on Woodward Avenue and then passed through the street and crashed into my win-dow."'

While I was downstate for the work event, I also picked some things up from the quiet room in our old house. This easel lets you paint with water, and the image disappears as it evaporates. As with most things we do. Permanence is not necessary for enjoyment.
