Lotta people here and on reddit like "but hank green doesn't like ai, he doesn't support genai images!" and i hate to break it to you but he knowingly used an ai image in one of his shitty 3rd grade level videos like literally a week and a half ago. Dude fuckin LOVES ai dog, what are we doing here?

An ai generated image supposedly comparing the volume of two different spheres that originally was in the video "You Have Never Seen A Normal Star" posted by Hank Green to his youtube channel. The image is under the reddit headline "Hank has started using AI Generated images in his educational videos"

Hank Green's Reddit Account, "ecogeek" posting "I had actually just removed the image from the video before I saw this reddit thread. It was me that put it in though. I saw it and was like "well, that's a useful illustration" but then I saw it in the video and was like "ew gross" so...yeah, same reaction everyone else had."

Playing prehistoric kingdom and I do generally dislike the trend of modern zoo games where you spend more time doing architecture than operating a zoo. Anyway this is going to be a great cretaceous north american herbivore enclosure in like 40 years when I can afford to buy even 1 more dinosaur.

Ignoring the part where they glaze AI here, what are your interests? Color matching? Infantile pattern recognition? Did you get a master's degree in 52 card pick up? There's nothing about this game that is at all related to library systems in the slightest.

powers: There’s a way in which I could read my use of them as a certain kind of metaphor for AI, removing the person-power and thinking from a task but also making it far more efficient than it would be unaided. There’s certainly a middle ground here, using your powers to assist you in the manual task instead of deploying them to circumvent it altogether, as the disclosure seems to suggest the developers did with their use of AI. I doubt the developers intended this reading, but it did give me something to mull over. Ultimately I was curious enough about the game, given how well it slots into my interests (and the master’s degree I’m still paying for) and satisfied enough with the disclosure to play it anyway, but I wouldn’t fault anyone who wants nothing to do with a game that uses AI in any way.
