I actually donate platelets which cancer patients critically need as during chemotherapy therapy the ability to produce their own is wiped out. Yes, I'll be given $10-$25 per donation which goes towards increased grocery costs. It's not a big paying side-gig but it helps save lives.

Taxes filed, hope to get my legal refund. Then, updated W4 filed to withhold *only* the legally required minimum. Not breaking any laws, just a legal level of resistance in one of the ways that I have to interface with *their* administration. Not my president, not my government.

I'd highly recommend checking your personal vaccination records and getting whatever is needed to get current. Just in case vaccinations get banned for a few years. My wife and I just reboosted our COVID boosters because it turned out our insurance allowed it.

I'm treating it like lockdown - avoid contact with certain people, keep social contacts up, work on health and projects. Also doing my stock up shopping - TP, anything imported with tariff impacts, canned fruits and veggies that won't have workers.

Tax Resistance Anyone? I'm on a fixed income (retired) and always have Federal and State taxes withheld. But...starting now I may withhold Zero Fed taxfor 2025. Put those funds into savings to pay in 2026. Just my contribution towards helping tax revenues drop under Trump. Thoughts?

I like to read and set the yearly challenge on Goodreads high. Should easily hit 120 books for this year. And not all are easy reads. 5- 10 pages per day on thick tomes or tech will get you there too.
