Quick brag, because I'm proud of it: Budgetella has 0 bank-login integrations. By design. Your spending data never leaves the phone, because we don't collect any of it. That's the entire privacy policy. No legal page to scroll past.

1,460 days. I wrote Budgetella for myself in 2022. Logged at least one expense almost every day. For 4 years I was the only user. In 2026 I rebuilt it as a native iOS app and shipped to the App Store. Now it's open to other people. Being your own user kills every false priority.

The whole point of Budgetella's voice entry: I want logging a coffee to take less time than putting the phone back in my pocket. "Coffee, four dollars" → category guessed, amount parsed, transaction saved. 0.4 seconds. Most finance apps make you tap 4 times.

I spent years trying to budget in spreadsheets. Open it, type two rows, close it, never look again. When it became 8 seconds on a phone to log one expense, something flipped. The lower the cost, the higher the count. The tool isn't a system. It's friction removal.

Budgetella is $4.99/mo or $39.99/yr. 7 days free, no credit card. Lifetime $99. I don't run growth experiments on the trial flow. You either find it useful or you don't. If you don't, the app actively reminds you to cancel before billing kicks in. → budgetella.app

Open your bank app. It says you spent $3,200 last month. Useful? Barely. Open Budgetella. It says: $412 on food delivery, $187 on coffee, $94 on subscriptions you forgot. *That's* useful. No moralizing. Just clarity. → budgetella.app

Honest question: how do you actually do your end-of-month money review? Open a spreadsheet and pivot? Glance at your bank's category chart? Or — be real — not at all?

Every transaction you log in Budgetella lives on your phone. SwiftData — Apple's new persistence framework, SQLite underneath, type-safe Swift API. Your money, your pocket. Evening — technical EN audience.

Built a personal finance app that doesn't ask for your bank login. Scan a receipt → it logs itself. Say "coffee, four dollars" → it lands in the right place. Privacy-first by default, not as a marketing checkbox. → budgetella.app · iOS · 7-day trial

Design call I keep making in Budgetella: every screen has to do one thing. The dashboard shows the shape of your month. The entry view captures a transaction. The stats view explains the dashboard. No "engagement" screens. No "discover" tabs. A finance app is a tool, not a feed.
