There are already many companies using chat bots for moderation and customer service. The problem of hallucinations needs to be dealt with before they can be considered reliable enough to replace staff.

What a waste of human life and productivity just to achieve the opposite of their own state policy.

What does this have to do with the blood bag dogs?

Both bids were invalidated because of the process. The lower bid is only better if you ignore that it was mostly debt. The trustee can still sell Infowars to the Onion. You can feel however you want about the judge but there's zero evidence supporting the claim that the judge is biased.

Just because I wasn't born here doesn't mean I'm not American. Frankly guy, fuck off.

I was born in Scotland but yea, I'm American. This guy is a wacko, no idea what his problem is.

If everyone agrees that what he was doing was so egregious that he should be killed, then the solution should have been legislative and judicial, not an individual killing him because of his personal opinion. Individuals making such decisions is not healthy for the country.

Loool my calling your assumption inappropriate isn't me saying that I'm not American, quite the opposite actually.

The only thing weird here is assuming that I'm not American.

How many people believe Fauci is evil? Should they go shoot him? Individuals aren't fit to make such decisions and id rather not see the country desend into that nonsense. Your opinion on who's evil, my opinion on who's evil, they don't matter. People can't be allowed to kill eachother over opinion.

Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 12/12/2024
The lower bid would not have been better given that it was partially unsecured debt to be paid back with future earnings. Neither bid was sufficient because of the confusing sealed bidding process with no transparency. What bid the families want isn't relevant to a the same of assets in a bankruptcy

Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
I'd take how things are now over the suffering and death that would occur is everyone is killing those they think are evil.
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
You don't see your hypocrisy? You think people should die at the hands of individuals for inflicting suffering on others, and then say there should be a revolution where tens of millions will suffer. You don't recognize that people would consider you just as evil as those you think should be killed?
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
Then you're wishing for death and suffering far beyond what the CEOs you hate are inflicting on the country.
200 2
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
Then maybe you should convince the moderates to vote with you instead of driving them away by suggesting that people should kill those they think are evil... The average person isnt going to vote with homicidal moralists who don't care about the consequences of their violence.

Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
Okay, so you believe those who you agree with should murder those they believe are evil. Then If those you disagree with play the same stupid game, where do you think that leads?
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
When did I say any of that? You live in a country that elected trump and you really trust random individuals to decide who should die?
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
The corrupt should fear the justice system. Letting individuals decide who should die is to say that you'd trust trump supporters decide who is evil enough to warrant death as well. This is a stupid road to go down, individuals shouldn't be making such decisions.
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
You really think any random person should be making the judgement of who is evil enough to warrant death? It'd be a lot more people dead than the CEOs if it came to that. This isn't a good road to go down.

If you want to hate people, go right ahead, but people murdering those they hate leads to the breakdown of society.

Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
I'm not going to assume that this is going to go horribly wrong, there's some possibility that SSG values restoring order, but HTS having control is somewhat concerning given that Al-Nusra was basically ISIS without global ambitions. No idea what Erdogan was thinking backing them.

Cannon has a history of repeated questionable rulings supporting the idea that she's biased. Saying that Judge Lopez is biased in favour of the crazy conspiracy guy over what seems like a sane ruling with no similar history of questionable ruling just seems like a stretch.

The way its being reported by some makes it sound like he joined the revolution, didn't realize that's as a politician. Id love to know under what governments. Engineer until the war started and then a politician of some sort for the last 13 years in an area controlled by various groups.

Creating a confusing closed process lacking transparency that discourages bids and then using the lack of bids as an excuse to choose the lowest bid received isn't the trustee's right. The trustee has an obligation to maximize profits after all.
010 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
The lack of bids was an issue raised in motions and during the hearings. The judge stated that the bidding process lacked transparency, was confusing, that it should have been public. Throwing out both of the two bids as inadequate is essentially ordering a new auction.
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
The trustee's process is why there were only two bids, so you're using an issue created by the trustee as justification for the trustee's further poor decisions which simply doesn't hold up. Also, your prejudice isn't relevant to the facts of this decision.
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
I'm not aware of any right of claimants to decide how they're compensated. Judge Lopez ordered the assets sold to pay debts to those claimants and the trustee is there to do that. The trustee taking the lowest cash offer is a failure. As for your prejudice, it isn't some win so keep it to yourself.

The trustee is not here to ensure that the site be shut down. The plaintiffs wanting the site shut down has nothing to do with the Court's decision or the bankruptcy. The trustee is here to auction off Infowars and the way they tried to do that was in many ways improper.
110 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
The only reason an Infowars sponsor was the largest cash bid was because the trustee failed to hold an open bidding process and as a result there were only two bids. Also, the families cannot tell the trustee to rig the bidding process in favour of the party they like the most.
100 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
The problem wasn't The Onion, the problem was the trustee's process for selling Infowars. No open bidding, the process was changed midway through, the lowest cash bid was accepted, and much of the bid was debt in the form of future earnings that weren't guaranteed.

Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
The trustee had an obligation to the families, to Alex Jones, and to the public to hold fair and open bidding on Infowars. The Onion was the lowest bid received and much of the bid was in the form of debt to be paid back with future earning. Blame the trustee on this one.
110 1
Bud @budfromthenorth.bsky.social · 11/12/2024
The auction process wasn't fair nor open and the families could make significantly more if it had been. A solid move by the court given the failure of the trustee to fulfill their obligation.
