The cruel thing about competition is that there aren't enough wins and eyeballs to go around. Willow, Rice, Griddy, Alto, and so many other amazing players did not get their due attention today, but if we all believe in each other than we can hold on until the breakout run.

Idk how much to credit to this, but I'm ngl three sessions of therapy gave me a good regiment of managing the thoughts in my head and it made things way more manageable than my typical rage. I can elaborate more later if someone wants to know what I mean.

New best bracket alert? 5th/80 at Hitfall 5, beating Julie Ahntye and Mr. Nice Guy. 17th/115 in R2 beating Plastic Dinos and Salvo. AZ is so clean with it, so I have more work to do if I'm looking to overcome a multiyear deficit. See you all at Heat Wave

That sucks to hear, sorry I never went to that many online events 😔 I hope everyone finds success in where they go next.

Bonus photos of workshop and doubles brackets (all community setups) and some “gameplay” from the winning team.

I already begged you to enter, so I won’t be picky. Thanks for joining and watching!

Rivals 2 will feel more familiar if you’ve played a lot of Smash Bros. Both games can be fun and gratifying, but I’ll always be a fan of rivals 1’s apparent simplicity.

Supernova Writeup! It's a lot. Some of it is bracket-results-slop, but that isn't until later.

Congratulations to @jubilofgc.bsky.social and Yoda Cage for winning Bracketfullabiscuits #3! Thank you to everyone who came or watched. It was a pleasure playing some good Rivals!

(comically late but) I had my best bracket ever at Full Stack 3. 4th/52, 5 set losers run, Shub -> nard -> Rice -> Julie -> CheesyPotato. Double elim'd by ZB both game 5. Great tournament, glad it's popping off. Disappointed in R2 and 64 a bit but w/e. Always more work to do.

It's finally here! I am officially 16th in NA Rivals 1 rankings! A lot of thoughts and feelings about the whole thing, but today we celebrate what felt impossible not so long ago. Despite it all I'm still hungry for more Rivals 1 and more results :]

The gap between 8 and 9 is pretty severe but think of it like you were competing for 2 spots against most of the region and won. A LOT of players were gunning for 9/10 and you took it.

Genesis wrap up post! 4th/37 in R1, beating Ahntye Sunlust and PerplexedPizza. Won doubles with SBS! I've got more to work on in this game. In the meantime, I went 2-2 in R2 and SF6 as well :P. It was very fun to meet all the west coasters! Come to east coast some time? 👉👈

Seriously, we are blatantly ragebaiting by having our 7th and 8th best players in losers finals of the 2nd biggest tournament this year, Riptide. It's true though! We're all just too cracked

I got 5th again! That's cool, last season felt unsustainable but here we are, so that feels nice. This ranking will look a LOT more impressive once top 25 comes out. Our region stays insane and I can't wait to represent them at Genesis 🤞

I get a 3% boost in performance for the day each time I say “hey man how’s it going” to a real person. Giving myself a minute to affirm that the sky isn’t falling and that I’m in real life helps calm me.

Nevermind then. Wipe that from your mind and go play outer wilds

Tbh I need to have conversations with myself about how 13th/51 has me feeling incredibly unsatisfied lol. The wins didn't feel great and the losses to players that have felt unbeatable 90% of my Rivals career (Zeebee+Elkiies) somehow felt so painful. I have absa things to work on

Thank you every single person that entered Rivals 1. We truly are fighting for our lives out here, and I'm super grateful to be in such a passionate region that we sent 10 MDVA RoA1 players to Ohio and got the silver and bronze medal.

13th/51 in RoA1 Singles at Riptide, went 2-2 in every bracket. Pretty fun overall, and was glad to add a bit more fun to everyone's day with a bunch of costume swaps between events LOL
